I make it a point to see him every time he is in NYC to play an extended set and he plays everything from progressive house, to tech house, to techno. It's never just one style of music that everyone here seems to try to make it seem.

I'll also add that if you download sets of his from even 8 years ago and beyond, he was mixing up the style and sounds just as much back then as he does today. The only thing I notice differently is that years ago, he would play some trance/progressive trance every now and then, which I'll admit I haven't heard him play in a very long time.

He's going to be back in NYC in November to play another extended set. Can't wait! :gsmile:

I have not heard him live but I've heard his show and sets, some of it is listenable but not something I would buy though. Tech house sucks its one of the most monotonousness and dullest styles ever made.

See, I think this sort of sound is amazing. Then again I love tech house, techno, all sorts of minimal, etc. I found the maximal sound to be too overbearing and simplistic.

Haven't listened to the new Bedrock but I've heard everything else he's put out recently and I'm a fan. One of the best true DJs on the planet, even as long as he's been in the game.

this is absolutely hilarious!!! ahh, the memories... loved shooting the 3ball from the corner in that game.

but, i have to admit, most of the recent sets (within the last few years) that i've heard from diggers have been pretty pedestrian. i saw him live once by himself, and then once with sasha, and i loved both times. top notch.

ultimately, digweed is one of my favorites, as there seems to be something about his style that i appreciate, not flashy and being a master craftsman, the sequencing and the thought put into his sets.

this is my favorite set of his... dark and driving tribal beats (listen at your own risk!!!)

live at crobar, 2001

Techno I can appreciate but tech house just feels empty and some of it just sounds weird.

Like seriously, WHAT THE IS THIS ? Dope was a very good track, but everything else Electric Rescue has contributed to the Bedrock Catalog has been so awful, I think it polluted it more than contributed to it. And what's with those garbage Pig & Dan tracks? And why the does this label refuse to sign any proper prog house other than Guy J material? Bedrock has ing lost it. I still really like some of their newer stuff, but only a very small percentage of it.

Bedrock will be successful regardless of what they put out. They're not releasing this stuff because it's a popular sound that sells. They're releasing it because Digweed, or whoever takes care of their A&R, is really really lazy and has completely lost their mind, in my opinion.

Pig & Dan's output has in my experience, been about 95% miss with 5% hit. The hits are big and the misses are even bigger.
