I've stopped to listening to diggers sets a few years ago ever since he started recording them with really wierd quality (also didnt help that the tracks he was playing got boring as well). I remember his live set in 2007 in china? i believe that got recording illegaly by the club, NOW that was some proper . After that it was all downhill..

The trouble with tech house and similar genres is that a few years ago everyone was sucking it's dick like it was the second coming (lol).

So now until the next joke genre comes along it will be big in "underground" dance music. We can only blame ourselves.

Commercial have to deal with dubstep and wobbles all over so at least we can be thankful the music isn't that .
Mattsanity.
I briefly knew a korean dj/artist who produced tech house and attended my church (no BS).

now that I`ve sucked up to him, it`s time to criticize his techn house taste. I apologize if he's reading this somewhere.

Honestly, at least it's better than what some people call Tech House nowadays. That same, ing, piece of garbage rolling bassline with the 1 minute white-noise breakdown.

I think modern tech house can be summarized by looking at Crosstown Rebels' output in the last few years. A few badass tracks, a couple of slick sounding throwaways, but really mostly trite hipster with ketamine vocals.

We're not really referring to that sound, although I know Digweed has been known to play the Crosstown Rebels type of stuff as of late as well. Which is just a terrible thing IMO.

In this thread, a bunch of people throw around "tech house" without having any ing clue what that actually means.
