The acting was as good as it could have been within the context of the film. This movie was so ing rad, step off haters.

I think acting was great, maybe they mean writing as in the main villain wasn't very developed as a character |
In that case they'd mean characterisation. Characterisation is generally achieved through either writing or acting, but cretinous Canadians can't spot the difference. |

When people complain about the "acting", usually without any elaboration whatsoever, it tells me they don't know the first ing thing about cinema, so they just mention the only technical thing they can name: acting. "This movie sucked because the acting was bad. Take my opinion seriously." |
It's just easier not to, because I don't really have the energy to read a long winded diatribe on how my hating a movie is invalid because you enjoyed it. The bar for cinema is at an all time low. I know nothing of cinema though. |

That much is apparent. I've got no problem with "I didn't like this movie", but when you start trying to validate your opinion by attacking technical aspects, then it looks cringeworthy.
EDIT: Also, for people comparing it to The Raid... yeah the premise is very similar (although it's totally coincidental), but the films are very different. The Raid is a very Asian action film with a big emphasis on the choreography of the fight scenes, and the whole feel of the film is totally different. |

really? this was one of the worst movies that i have seen in a long time. |
i agree. didn't feel at all like the 2000AD strip it was based off of, either. i mean, sly stone judge dredd was obviously a campy parody of sorts, this one was just a mediocre action film with a been-there-done-that plot. slow-mo? really??
watched it by myself once, fell asleep through it the second time while watching it with my dad. meh.
edit- and the acting was fine. i like kyle (keith? i dunno) urban. he did a great job as bones in the star trek reboot, imo. |

lol i love how people expect deep characters in a movie based on a comic book |
I'd be so bold as to predicate that Wagners chronicled adventures of Judge Joseph Dredd are more akin to a graphical novel, than a comic book per se. |

| Everyone that won't agree with System J is a cretin. It must be true if they don't write 5000 words on the subject. |

Plenty of people have said they didn't like the film in this thread, Jay. Your reasoning was just especially stupid. But whatever helps you sleep at night. |
