Oh man, the night was beyond epic. And I don't mean the music, I mean everything that happened there. Just before Kyau&Albert went on, me and my wife were standing in the bathroom line for a good 40 minutes and when she finally made it to the one working bathroom, people started banging the door literally after 15 seconds to hurry her up. Well, when she came out soon after they were so apologetic about hurrying up a woman they came to us and said sorry and whatnot. Well, when they were saying sorry they actually managed to knock my drink off my hand straight to my wife's face. Literally. Whole drink. On her face. The guy did buy us new drinks though and was super nice.
Well, we went to see Kyau & Albert straight after that about 30 minutes into their set and thought, hey, at least there's good music and tunes (Are You Fine was playing) so what could possibly go wrong anymore?
That's when the music cut off and some time afterwards some serious fighting broke out in front of us.
I don't know why I was still smiling after that. I mean, if that were to happen at Pacha or some good club (pun intended), I would have left pretty quickly. Decided to stay, put all that behind and enjoy the music. Which was good until they started shifting the sound more towards electro-ish sound. Did not enjoy that at all and was quite surprised about their sound choices. Oh well. Ended up leaving pretty much after they stopped playing, 3:30ish.
Despite all this, still left with some positive feelings about the party. Lots of familiar faces.
And to Lucas, Rory and Mike: Was nice to see you guys there! |

| I had a great time last night - yes they do need to do something about the bathroom situation because that is unacceptable but the music was on point all night. Not sure what those sound issues were all about but I thought K&A and Eco definitely killed it... Eco definitely took us on a dirty and dark trance journey until i left around 5am. |

they have been for a while now. last time i saw them was at webster hall with gueseppe ottoman. they played electro
definitely a bummer to hear them continuing to play that . i just couldn't get into it. then eco came and even though the energy seemed to be lifted up a bit i still heard electroish sounds for like 20 minutes. so i went to the other room and never came back until the end of ecos. So not sure what he played the rest of his set. it was refreshingly to hear tom roger play at that hour. at begging he was playing some typical electro, but when i walked back he was going full on trance and uplifting 139-140 bpm. enjoyed his set until the next dj went on. then i spend an other 20 minutes waiting in line to use the bathroom whilst listening to that ty step hop or what ever you call it. boy was it frustrating to use the bathroom there yesterday! finally , it was my turn to use the stall and i couldn't leave that room fast enough. to my rescue i walk into numi ra (i think) playing some mean techno!! wow that was banging'
overall , from headliners it was a boring night. locals shined as always while the head liners sucked. yesterday progressive house, tech house ,techno and uplifting trance saved the night. the rest was typical snooze fest. |

The Morgan room .. complete ing joke , two dirty stalls?
on the line for 20+ min. Well at least they invested in a decent JBL system ,, wait no , it ed up 2 or 3 times in the middle of K&A set. Fight broke loose. First and last time at the morgan.
Anyways .. Awesome night I meet K&A in the front door shook hands. (they looked pretty ing scared, lol I think they thought they were somewhere else) BUT decent set good music, then eco stayed at 140+.Overall good night. That 2 hour drive killed me at the end ugh.
MASSIVE don't ever throw a party there ever please. |
