I also can't stand this. It makes me facepalm so hard when seeing a group of people sitting at a table in a restaurant or bar, and every single one of them is on their phones.
Like why the did you go to the bar or resto with your friends in the first place?
The idea is to catch up with each other and enjoy each other's company, not some friend who can't stand the thought of being without you for 2 ing hours.
I think resto's should have a mandatory "leave your phone in your pocket" rule, and anyone caught violating this rule gets kicked out. It wouldn't happen but it would please me greatly. |

It's just so unattractive to see a girl tapping away at her stupid phone in the store or whatever just walking slowly in the middle of the isle completely oblivious to whats going on around her, something about that escape mechanism is a real red flag for me.
Also I like how these screen people don't seem to realize that people used to do like drive 2000 miles across the country without a cell phone. It's a fairly new invention your world isn't going to crumble if you put the ing thing down for 10 minutes |

it's rude
but this is where society is headed
there's no way to stop it so choose your friends wisely
if they're not courteous and respectful enough to pay attention and listen
make a stinky and exit before they look up and blame you |

| Don't mind texting in my presence but I hate it when someone stops the conversation entirely to send someone else a text. I've walked out on more than one person for doing that. |

Lots of people do not know good cell phone etiquette... in this day and age of 'notifications' for everything I think people seem to lose track of what's important.
I will say, on the topic of texting, the worst is when someone sends you a volley of texts (a text bomb/mini book) and then somehow expects you to reply promptly no matter what you're doing. I can't stand those people. |

I was on a date about a year ago, and the chick and I went to a bar.
She would not stop ing texting so once our drinks and food arrived I told her I had to go to the bathroom and I just left the bar. |

You should have sent her a text while in the taxi home. |
