I was exaggerating. Taken in isolation from all other genres and without comparison to all years that followed, 1999 isn't such a bad year. In fact, as far as melodic trance is concerned, 1999 was a decent progress (I'd pick Carte Blanche over Children, For an Angel, Love Stimulation and Age of Love any time).
But -- and this is a big but -- nostalgia aside, I have no reason whatsoever to go back to 1999. And that was my point. I just don't think the genre (melodic trance) is going downwards. At worst, it's stagnating a.k.a. remaking '99 music. But it's a little better than that.
I was about to explain why I find Gouryella too simple, but figured it will take a little bit more time than I can afford now. Maybe another time.

I would go back to 1999. Do you know how many things in life you could've changed if you went to the past? That's just me, and I was like 6 or 7 years old in 1999. Too young to even grasp the golden years of Trance.
How old are you, by the way?
I'm 20. It took me almost 6 or 7 years to understand anything Trance related from year 2002 all the way down to 1990.
anyways, that song "Feel" you posted was pretty good, can you share more? I'm actually enjoying this. I'm always looking for new and good Trance songs! ;)

another good song that was created in these modern years:
Twisted Tales by Trance Arts.
It's not the best ever, but it's a well created track.
Check it out if you haven't heard it yet.

yeah, trance-wise PVD's sound around that time was second to none imo
Paul made stormers like another way and his cream remix, but I have to agree his earlier years in producing were better.

How about you? It's hard to imagine you do, considering how you reply to people here and what that type of encounter would be like for you face to face with someone.
Anyway, good thread Matt. Looking forward to checking out some of the tracks posted in here.

If I could go back in time, I would buy several million shares of apple stock and put them into a trust fund for myself that I would receive in a few weeks. I'd probably swing by a Sasha & Diggers night at Twilo on my way back to the present.
In other news, nice to see DOOMBOT being an idiot, again.

I see 2 ****s arguing. This must be what is seen when Mitt Romney is practising his speeches into a mirror.

Gotta tell you, I'd really love to watch you and System-J in a social setting. I'm sure it would be absolutely nothing like how you two act here. :toocool:

Would you really love to, though? Considering that just a bit up the page you said you didn't care how he acts in a social setting, I have to doubt your statement.
