Trust me, I'm getting plenty of personal entertainment out of watching you crack up so spectacularly under a bit of ribbing. Although I analysed this thread statistically and found that I have generated at least two laughter smileys whereas you have generated none, which in mathematical terms translates as "Don't give up the day job". QED. |

WTF, why the hell are you so eager to scare new people away? Are you afraid they will come here and steal some of your TA fame?
You have to be a real sad person to never have experienced the thrill of finding something new. Maybe it will only last for a week, maybe for a lifetime, who are you to decide?
freem221 - Continue with the tutorial master list. Demo different programs to find what suits you best. Then experiment like a mad man and if you got specific questions, turn to the production sub forum.
What you need to begin with is simply a program like Ableton, FL, Logic and maybe a midi controller. That will be enough to dig a little deeper and learn if this is for you or not. And if you decide this is the , prepare to spend LOTS of time experimenting and training before you are even decent.
Good luck and let the haters hate. |

Even though I was the first to question the OP was getting in this thread I feel the need to answer this: it's not about scaring new people away. It's about encouraging people to do an ounce of work before asking questions that could easily be answered without everyone else doing the work for them. Much of the OP got here was uncalled for, but at least he realized this wasn't a place for him. If you can't handle the flames of the internet you're better off staying away. To use your words; you're kind of a sad person when you go all bitchy because someone on a forum tells you to do some research on your own before asking others to give everything to you. |

Thank you Sherlock!
Redd: And as far as looking things up on my own, there was so much to sift through and I didn't know exactly what I was looking for. Like yeah I can find info on beat matching, or Ableton, but that article is going to assume I know what MIDI is and what equipment I need. I figured that anybody who would skim through the forums and want to respond to my post would know what I needed to start with. Anyway, I got what I needed, and thank you for whoever helped. |

My post was more of a general explanation of why new people often get thrown their way when they first post here. It's good that you got what you needed, have a nice weekend. |

I can't remember where it cropped up or even the details clearly. I just remember Pidpompously lecturing about how Adam had the wrong attitude because he'd slated some track over here in MD, and Adam was abasing himself rather than showing the kind of fight he's demonstrating in this thread. |

Come on, you really should be able to find some answers just by Googling a tiny bit. (How to produce music?, How to DJ?)
It really wouldn't surprise me if you now tell us you weren't serious from the beginning. |
