Do you think we choose to be born?
Or are we fitted to the times we're born into? |

Absolute nonsense.
I was born because I happened to be the fastest sperm out of the billion. |

| Did you choose to be the fastest or was your pace fitted to the times you're born into? |

| Humans are an oddity. A small mistake in a huge universe of unknowns. That being said, if my mom wasn't such a whore and kept her legs shut, I wouldn't have to pay bills. |

Seriously, though. The belief that we choose the family we're born is quite common here in Brazil, and I find it extremely distressing.
For one thing, it becomes a justification for anything: A poor child wilfully picked a poor family, a handicapped kid chose to be handicapped, and a midget just wanted to sniff farts properly. It's existentialism taken to its illogical extreme, thanks to a strange creed that combines reincarnation and oversimplified Western values. This means that these people are believed to be responsible for every single aspect of their lives, including the ones that are beyond their control (such as the place/time they're born, and whether they have a healthy body). "Why", you may ask, "would someone choose to be born under unfavourable circumstances?". Because of a self-imposed penalty for bad behaviour in previous lives, isn't it obvious? So this adds an extra layer of pity/self-righteousness when dealing with the less fortunate.
Also, the hubris involved in claiming you know what went through other people's heads before they were conceived is, to say the least, embarrassing. I'd be hard-pressed to explain why I did certain things in my life! How can I believe I can even say something about others?! |

| I wonder if the aborted fetuses (feti?) of my past conquests are watching from hell and cheering me on. |

Foetuses is the accepted English plural, foeti was the old Latin form.
If the odd belief I mentioned turns out to be right, I'd say they reincarnated and populated China. Welcome to your doom! :p |

| I had sex with a woman that had a brown tooth. I don't even know why, it just seemed like the only "first" left. Chinese dentistry rivals England's. |
