Oh right, Airwave. That might get party of the year from me, actually. Best Trance set I've ever heard.

It was unbelievable. Breathtaking. Brilliant. Other adjectives to describe pure awesomeness.

Finally had a chance to update my list. I would like to thank all the promoters and djs
for making these parties happen. I also have to thank many of you here for making this year so much fun and memorable. Lets hope that rest of the parties for December goes according to plan and 2013 is even better!

My picks:

Blkmarket- Laurent Garnier (LBS): Amazing. Their first gig back @ LPR was great and all, but they fit the electric warehouse perfectly. Blew my mind, such a good party.

Trilogy- Sasha Carassi: Such a banging set, so much energy! Kyle Geiger crashing the party and jumping on to play a badass set after Sasha was a nice touch.

EDC NY- Neon Garden: The whole lineup on that stage was just perfect the whole weekend. Diggers, Cox, Dubfire, DT... I have no complaints.

DEMF- CLR Detroit: Collabs. Nuff said.

Blkmarket- Dettmann & Klock: Probably one of the best sets I have ever heard.

Resolute- Pisco Sour & Avatism: I cannot applaud Resolute enough for this one. The sound was great and the venue was incredible.

Blkmarket- Halloween: We were all expecting a great set by Gaiser, but holy , all throughout Barem's set I kept holding my head saying, "WHAT TEH FUUUUUUUCK!" The kid is the Astroboy of Techno: cute, badass and not human. Sexiest techno set I had heard in a while.

Blkmarket- Scuba & Dettmann: My 2nd time seeing Scuba and I was blown away. He played a bit of everything seamlessly and it was a straight up schooling. He's that rare breed of DJ that has an old school approach with an updated sound. Dettmann was equally amazing. Taimur & Fahad played one of the best sets I had ever heard them play too.

Basic- Josh Wink & Cari Lekebusch: I just love seeing Cari play, his energy is just infectious. Wink, like Scuba the night before, played the type of set that djs just don't play anymore. Techno, house, classics, all of it. I would have liked to hear more acid, but still a memorable set.

2012 Disappointments:

-The Bunker. Every damn time. Silent Servant disappointed @ the Sandwell District showcase, Peter van Hoesen almost bored me to death and Prosumer last night made me feel like I was at a Hot Natured party and the technosnobs were eating that up. Yawn. The pretentiousness is such a vibe killer too.

-DEMF KMS party. It had everything in the lineup to be a legendary night, but the death trap it was held at made it impossible to enjoy it. For the most part DEMF was a big disappointment this year musically but still a fun trip with good people :) love you guyssss!

-Eric Prydz @ Beekman. What a ing disaster.

I stayed for like an hour after you left, at the bunker last night.. Prosumer was eh.. it took about 20m that he begn to make me move but the vibe/ppl made it hard to get down to- what a bunch of I'm-here-to-just-show-my-face weirdos. Couldn't deal with it so headed to Cocoon (which I'm adding to the bucket of good parties for the yr...HOLY IN AMAZEBALLS).

And the whole story behind the venue for the kms party.. it was exactly where those originators had begun throwing their first parties at, so the space was a home to them- can you imagine how it must've been back in the days and to use the venue 20+ yrs later and see how far the scene they once created has gotten, unreal.
