I'm talking to a dude who's selling a load of high end studio gear and I've bagged his PCM80. I know a lot of people say the plugin sounds the same, but I'm not sure that's too true. It's like I had an M1 at my place a couple of weeks back, and the plugin version really sounds nothing like it. Even if it did, I dig buttons and tactile feedback. I'm literally sick and tired of a million mouse clicks.
I'm also going to grab a TC Fireworx as they can do some crazy and they're stupid cheap now, about the price of a couple of plugins.
I would hold off on a P08 purchase right now though, the P12 will be out shortly and I bet there will be a ton of people selling their P08's to get hold of one. |

the most "shiny shiny" thing ive seen recently is that Prophet 12 - when i first saw the pics i wanted one even tho i didnt know specs and also cant really play keyboards :p |

I"ve got a voyager, a TI keyboard, Focal Twins, Best mac pro possible.
For the lyra, its perfectly what i need. I don't need so many outs and ins like the UFX. So i'll cut down and increase D/A A/D quality.
Edit: I might just get the TI2 Desktop instead. The converters surpass the RME's in a/b test with the focal twins. |
