I'm not glad I suspended either of them. I'm really sad I did it, as I think Eric is one of our most amusing posters, for one thing, and I try to be civil with Jenny despite our differences.
As a matter of fact, we receive the feedback from other mods every time we suspend someone. We've been worried about the negativity here for a while now, as Zip said, and I'm trying to help. If I crossed the line, this decision should be reverted in a moment, and I don't mind if it is.

Exactly, and the forum was way way more productive in the early noughts, as people like Wicked Neo moderated with an iron fist. We've become very lenient, and it's hard to have a thread now that doesn't consist in people slagging off one another.

Hal, it would have been more interesting if the audience believed what Eric was writing, but seeing him blow himself up was good in its own way. Clearly the man needs more fresh veggies and less caffeine. |

Isn't this kind of how Abercrombie's life was ruined? The main difference being that his story was true. Jenny was getting attacked, Eric white knighted her by making up some huge completely false story to try and draw the attention away. He was trying to say that to be honest could cause serious problems with a marriage.
Why would anyone let that continue?
