definitely a good call to leave a few mins early - real tough to get a cab with so many people leaving at once

had a blast last year for the little i remember....aint doin it at the current prices though. typical toronto greed

Why is greed always mentioned with negative connotations? When running a business, one of the main goals is to make money. The market determines the price of tickets. If prices are too low, the event sells out too quickly and organizers miss out on additional dollars they could have earned. If prices are too high, the event undersells. The fact that DD has already sold 40,000+ tickets suggests that their pricing is spot on. Fair enough that you've elected not to go, but I just don't understand the "typical Toronto greed" comment. What's wrong with earning money?

I have to agree with this too. Let's say I made $200k last year and this year I am determined to make $250k. In the process of doing so I probably could have charged my clients less money and made less albeit the market says my rates are on par with the services provided. Am I being greedy?

You are spot on. I don't think their pricing is over the roof. As long as they create an even better festival than last year I am fine with the rates they are charging.

well many things are inflated pricewise in Toronto and this is an example.

At this time, this event doesnt have the value to $$, so im skipping on the event.

In comparison to other festivals such as DEMF, the cost for this event are through the roof when considering the acts (the ones I care about..).

On the other hand, electric zoo in NYC....price has gone ridiculous and it has probably turned many people off.....but others have filled the void.
