WE'RE UP ALL NIGHT TO GET FUNKY
WE'RE UP ALL NIGHT TO GET LUCKY
or alternatively, "mix it all together, we're up all night to get lucky."

I'm sceptical, it's been more than a decade since they released something exciting. Plus the album cover doesn't follow the theme of a variation on the "Daft Punk" logo, and that's never a good sign.

This thread made me realize I haven't listened to these guys in freaking forever. Now I'm stuck here, listening to around the world on loop rotation :toothless

My expectations are being set extremely low.
I figure that if they had made another hit track, something like "da funk" or "around the world", it would have been released already. I'm anticipating nothing more than 13 solid album tracks. Doubt anything will really stand out, but I'll enjoy listening to it.

It will be worse than their last album take my word for it!
But over at thedaftclub forum they will be hysterical as usual! For nothing.

Either way, I'm probably going to buy the album and enjoy listening to it a couple times. That's all that matters I guess.

The title is bizarre I had a dream this morning with an angelic voice singing a song about remembering memories, and then I get the email from daftclub about the album.. weird.

Lightning struck 3, 4, 5, times with these guys. They captured a sound, made it their own and produced legendary tracks such as Around the World, Harder Better Faster Stronger, and my personal favorite, One More Time. There were others of course, but the point is we now know for sure that there is a "new" album coming. And on that cd, sounds from Daft Punk. I think its safe to say if you "like" their sound, then there will be more than a couple of tracks on their album that will find their way on to dance floors. For me its a "must have". I own all their compilations. And although I haven't been fortunate enough to see them a new album is definitely exciting news!!

Great news. The first track that hooked me was Chemical Brother - Life Is Sweet (Daft Punk Remix) and then really got into them when the Discovery album came out. I remember it being promoted on Toonami with some animated shorts with a few Discovery tracks.
Since then, the Alive mix compilation is great; constantly weaving tracks in and out, showcasing their history. The Tron OST was pretty solid considering they were known for their sampling.
I like to listen to this every now and then.

Interstella 5555 was my go-to flick for when I'd bring a chick home from a house party. Watching it on my laptop in bed, would start making out sometime during 'Digital Love' and probably be butt-ass naked come Crescendolls.

That's probably my biggest problem with it so far. I think it's gonna be better than Human After All but nowhere near as good as Discovery and Homework.

I predict it'll have two or three brilliant tracks that will become instant party classics, and the rest will be almost totally forgettable. You know, like all their previous albums.
