Anyone thinking about possibly going to this? All I knew about it before yesterday was it was a huge Ultra/EDC-like festival in Europe.

Looked at the lineup and timeslots from last year and I have to say that it has the most impressive, diverse lineup I've seen from a festival yet. Kinda like the fact that the lure of afterparties won't really be there either since it's a bit of a drive to Atlanta -- guaranteed to get sleep and feel good for the next day. If the lineup is similar to the European one, would be down for this. Oh, and it's 21+. I don't see how they're going to pull it off since enormous festivals like this typically make most of their money from the 18-21 year olds but we'll see. Hopefully it means tickets won't sell out in a couple of seconds like they did last year for the Belgium festival.

Def not camping out though. Bet there's gonna be a lot of smelly hippie kids out there. :stongue: :haha:

dude no european festival is ultra/edc like. i actually take offense to you wording it like that. :p

and dont be afraid of camping. there will be facilities there. what makes the belgian tomorrowland so special is the camping aspect of it. brings people even closer together. and hell the camping has a festival of its own the day before tomorrowland starts. a festival for a festival? are you kidding me?! many say the only way to experience tomorrowland correctly is by doing the camping. i'll be there this year in belgium but couldnt get a camping ticket. boo. :/

I'm sure it's a great time to camp and all but... I had more than my share of that in my 5 years in the Marine Corps, lol. I like nice hotels and all of their amenities. Sorry but I don't feel like standing in a line of smelly dudes to take a shower at 2 am :haha:.

And yeah I know that the European festivals are definitely better than their American counterparts, I've just never had the pleasure of actually attending one. Airfare to Europe is something that is hard to justify for me. Then of course day-to-day purchases are higher there too.

Camping would be the way to do it. Wish I could :(

If I go I'm doing the camping option. I can't imagine the roads around the festival were built to accommodate a billion cars and after the hellish 3 hour drives back from EDC to the condo in Vegas... THAT! Plus I already scoped the area and there aren't really that many hotels close enough to the venue. To say what Tomorrowland has is camping is laughable, it's basically mini 2-4 person hotels. Well worth the money since I can just stay on site and not have to worry about like Ultra and everything else.

Its a 15-20 min drive to hartsfield-Jackson. Plenty of hotels there. Maybe I'm just getting old. After 10+ hours at the festival, I just wanna get away and chill. But again im getting old. :toothless

the question is - how hot does it get there?

i did camping at coachella and while it was super fun and awesome - it was ING HOT AS BALLS ALL DAY. i would much rather be at a hotel, chill in the pool, and take a ride over the festival at sunset for the music.

It's Hotlanta at the end of summer do the math. It will be africa hot up there with no ocean breeze. I've had the pleasure of playing golf tournaments in Atlanta in September, hot always.
