| How was the sound in the room? I'd love to hear stuff like that on a decent system. Seems almost impossible these days considering chill out rooms are dead everywhere except for a few psy/trance parties and in the bar area they always play tech- or lounge house. |

Ambient is the best music for furious booty-shaking. |

Not fantastic, to be honest, which also threw my plans a lot. Very, very few soundsystems can match the enveloping soundscape that your headphones will give you at home, which is where we mostly listen to this kind of material, and a lot of the audio content inevitably gets lost to the ear when it's played out into a big space. That's something else I learned - much like a techno DJ has to play samples on Beatport and imagine how those records will sound on a punchy system, my task for the next one is to find appropriate music where the interesting elements will carry across into the room. |

Yeah, I kind of expected that. And even a genre such as techno that's often being described as club-system reliant often sounds like crap even on a halfway decent system. I've heard many super functional dance floor cuts that just didn't work at all on a system compared to on headphones.
House however seems to pretty much work on all kinds of systems from crappy to amazing which is probably one of the reasons for why it will forever rule the dancefloors of the world. |

| Probably has something do do with the predominant frequencies in the tracks right? |

Stopped reading and hit up the d/l links at that point. Looking forward to it!
EDIT: any reason why #2 of the Sushi link is only 6.5mb? Problem with the upload? |

That's odd, I don't know what happened there. I'll re-up it now.
Edit: Ok, it should be fixed now. Sorry about that. |

So weird, it's still not fixed :(
I've listened to 1 and 3 so far and am enjoying them, especially the real droney ambient section of part 1. |
