So, basically Anjuna will prolly have their attorneys contact will.i.am's peeps.. They will make a settlement offer out of court.... Anjuna will pocket almost all of any settlement and life goes on?

here's from my status udpate in FB, too lazy to type again :)

After becoming outraged all morning long in regards to music stealing, I finally realized: where as a matter of fact in reality, stealing music doesn't really matter anymore because all things matter will get settled in court.. everyone will eventually get his/her shared equally in terms of money or fame.

HOWEVER, the appreciation that would come from the audience is MUCH DIFFERENT from being original and trying to become/or to copy someone else. Especially as a music producer and anything that is related to ART. People will soon learn how to segment originals and copycats, especially with the globalized communication via Internet.

I really hope that the world will understand to give much more credit to the originals and not let it be decided by who has more money/fame,.. I would hate to see less originals in this world, because that's what makes our world COLORFUL... but on the other hand, this is just showing how capitalism has conquered the world we live in... It's ALL BUSINESS! :/

Well if Anjuna owns the copyright, then Anjuna gets the cash!

All depends on how the deal was worked out ont he original contract
jonmitz
People let the labels take the copyright? that seems really bizarre to me
RobertStern
I've heard of all kinds of different deals with tracks. So, you just never know who owns what.

Reminds me of when Leona Lewis blatantly sampled Avicii. Do these people think they can just get away with it or what?

remember in that deal it eventually turned out that her people had asked Avicii about licensing the sample and sounded like there was a breakdown in communications.

i think Chris Brown is a idiot but i do believe he prob just layed down the vocals here and had nothing to do with the backing music/samples in the song.

Chris Brown tweeted....

"I don't even know who mat zo Or arty is? I ain't got to do wit if ur mad or not. Someone asked for a feature on a record and I did it."

"I don't listen to that half the time anyway. #X"
