So this thread turned to pretty fast.
Anyways, I'm gonna try that garlic soup recipe tomorrow. It may be warm out but it, I love soup.
Also if anyone has a pretty easy Yellow Lentil soup recipe I'm all ears.

not at all salty, since you're presoaking the dried seaweed in water which gets rid of most of the salt before boiling it.
very simple dish too. you only need seaweed, soya sauce and a bit of garlic. a little beef |
Also trying this on Sunday. Gimme dat seaweed taste NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW |

At least you did the garlic one.
Yohan slightly went over the seaweed one, and rather than googling it I'd want it from him directly lol.
Hal posted a potato broccoli one, which I am also tempted to try.
But other than that ppl just suggested different kinds. I didn't make this thread so I would just google recipes of the ones ppl suggested, I actually want to know how you all MAKE it :p |

| Good! I have loads of time off and I gotta save money, so won't be going out as much as I used to. That means soup time. |

Testing...hopefully these show up well enough. :)
Starting with a lentil soup - am just working on editing the other scans.

edit: I just realized that this recipe calls for homemade chicken stock. I'm sure store bought would do just fine in a pinch. Nothing does beat home made, but ehhh who wants to wait 2 hours or overnight?? |

Ok, here are a bunch of my faves + some I haven't tried yet that are at the top of my list. There are way too many good ones in this book, so if anyone's interested in what other recipes are in it, they are from this book (I did post most of the lentil ones though :p ):

Here's my soup, easily the yummiest soup I've ever had.
Potato, broccoli, carrot and zucchini. With onions, garlic, jalapenos or habaneros, cilantro and spices (salt & pepper, paprika, cumin). Once cooked, add lots of fresh cilantro and allow to simmer a bit, then blend and serve. :) |
