Call me when you fall in love.
Edit: That sounds corny as , but hey, it's true. |
No I believe it, but I can not see myself moving to the south for any reason. Ever. I don't think I'd end up with a girl who would chose to live there (no offense). |

| I was definitely done living in the south after 3 years in Florida, but there is an ineffable buzz there. Something about being so close to the equator that makes you feel differently. I think it's a mistake on your part to block it out of the realm of possibility; it's a different sort of life there. |

But I liked the larger cities in Texas. |

Everyone I know thats moved there hates it though.
If I want to live near the equator I'll go to the Med, or to Southeast Asia. I prefer crazies that are not American. |

Have you ever been in love? We all do stupid things (like living in the South :p) for love. |

I do believe we are having some drinks tonight, gentleman.
Thirty minutes, get ready to start your engines. |

I honestly do not know. I think my perception of what love is is slightly warped. :p
I can see myself picking up and moving a lot of places for girls, but really I can not see the south, because honestly I don't think I'd even be compatible with someone from the south, nor let a relationship start with someone who is from there. Call it bigoted, but I really, truly do hate that part of the country.
*edit*
I want to drink, but that'd mean staying home drinking. I've already blasted through my budget for the month. I have ~200$ to make it to the end of the month and I need to fill my gas tank at some point and I'm out of food basically. |

See, that's just it, CD. I understand your hate of the south, and I sure as hell will not be settling here. Having said that, I find it terribly close-minded to write off everybody from a particular region. I don't like the south, I try never to leave metro Atlanta and am culturally and politically different from most people here. I have also met some wonderful people that I am happy to consider my friend, learned quite a bit about southern culture, and have had countless discussions with people whose opinions have differed from mine yet have allowed me to have a greater understanding of where this culture is coming from in regards to its social and political beliefs.
til;dr - I think it's absurd to block yourself off from an entire group just because you don't like their culture. Agreeing to disagree is OK, and you can learn a lot, not to mention that assumptions don't apply to everybody from one area.
Also, already drunk. Yay rum! |

| And you sound just like the people from the backwoods here whenever they talk about "sand niggers". :p |
