Very amusing Trancewave. I'm just trying to help the newbie out, that's all. Chill out!

Taste in music does evolve you dumbass. Taste in all kinds of art is always evolving, it's an educational process. If you think that's idiotic, then you don't know jackass about music.

And stop being so narrow minded people. There's so much good music out there. It just happens that some are more sophisticated and complex than others. IMO the best music released in 2002 have been Aidrawndagger and this awesome mix cd called True Colors by High Contrast (which is liquid funk drum and bass) b/c trance is not EVERYTHING.

The following content is just my own opinion. (and I apologize if my eng is too bad to make em clear :) )
I agree that taste in music evolves. Or I should say that "how much" you can get from music will be different as you listen more, learn more. Technically in general music, there are a few steps. At the very first you start off getting the "feeling" from music that you are born to have. e.g. when you listening to a few notes together you feel pleasant or blue that your emotion is altered and you feel fulfilled. After you listened an ammount of tunes and gotten some knowledge in musical structure and history, you will look into the composition of the tunes. At this stage peeps will probably abandon listening to those cliche ones and which lack creativity. The deeper you get into the music, knowledge and history, you may pick a masterpiece of a composer and study thru the tricks in the composition, life of the composer, intention of composition, the inner picture of the tune that the composer brought out, etc. At this stage one might look through the heart of the composer at the momemnt, get enhancement of humanity, etc. Most people would consider this stage as the final stage of "taste of music".
In my opinion, taste of music is also affected by the life experiences (of listener and also composer), surrounding environment (ie. society etc.), time-point of human evolution (actually it is changes of human-being history but "human evolution somehow reminds me of gielen . . . hmm . . . oh let's get back to the topic :D ), etc.
Unfortunately music nowadays is corrupted by capitalism (which is an unavoidable point in human history maybe). Lots of music now is "produced" to please people (in the other word, only stuffs people would "appreciate", "love", "accept" will be produced) (and probably you will immediately come up with a question "why it should exist if no one likes"). The lack of knowledge and thinking of both listener (oh ME! :D )and "producer" leads to a lot of pointless discussion, inordinate criticism and most deadly "blind followers" (oh wait, now you mean all that I've read are those pointless discussion ie NONSENSE?!) (You're correct! :D :D :D ). Ok at this point, what's the conclusion of all these? (don't try to cheat me reading your nonsense now!) Maybe it's the chance for us all to reconsider our role in this "music industry" or maybe the future of this world. (good turn of point you dumbass!!:whip: :whip: )

ps. sorry for all those nonsense you've just read :sadgreen: medicine time for me! :)

ps.2 /assist in flaming to the one who said kid vicious is one of the worst dj . . .
ascension
hearing the same old elitist attitudes over and over again gets very tiresome...

DJ-Lukeass
Well i personly love this track i always will
The only gay thing is that darude have just gone down now, they havent bothered producing any other decent tracks really
all the other tracks off is albulm just sound the same which gets boring!!!
:( :(
_The_Storm_
I liked it when it came out.. was even one of my favs.

By that time I also liked Eminem and Linkin Park.

now seriously, it's not 100% , but it sounds definitely amateur, was overplayed as , and it had an awful video :p . ok videos have nothing to do with the original track, but I've came to the conclusion that 90% of the trancy videos I've seen on MTV I end up hating the track. like Rank 1 - Awakening, ok definitely not a bad tune, lots of power in that, just that video gets me :whip:

but I still wonder why PvD played it. that's such an embarassing thing in his DJ'ing career :stongue:

_The_Storm_
oh.. by the way, i forgot. what do you guys think of other of his productions.. "Calm Before The Storm". I find it to be a pretty decent trancer.. the best work from him. (and it doesn't sound anything like Sandstorm :p ) Though it stills sounds a bit amateur.. I think a top producer could perhaps get a good tune remixing this
detective you
i don't listen to this tune now, but it was, and for a lot of people too, the song that made me like this kind of music....so darude still have my respect...
