Can't get this record out of my head , I means it sounds like a melody that the most novice of producers would of created , and he uses the same pad that he does in every track, followed by some harmonic elements during the breakdown that have become kind of obvious , but maybe that is where the magic lies ? I just know this is going to be one of the biggest club hits of the summer and maybe the year.
MSZ
Magic? I personally find this track pretty damn bad and im very open.
vercetti
Dat sample [:drool]
Shame the rest of "Murder" does not follow it.

Overall yeah, that's the magic, catchy bassline that you remember for longer than a minute. Layering to keep things mildly interesting, fairly decent mix and sounds. Very simple thing well executed.
kevin shawn
Def not his best work, track is meh

Living in Vegas I see a lot of sets from producers. Eric I have seen quite a few times (Black & White) most recently at EDC where he , imo killed it.
Simple? Maybe yea, but it still carries emotion. To me, that is the most important thing in music. And he has a lot of vibe in his music.
Which is more than I can say for most EDM producers out there

+1. Producers mostly care about music being analogue, without bad aliasing, and unique sounding. Music should be about triggering a targeted emotional response, or at least have good rhythmic side. Listeners, the actual audience(omg its not djs) only give a about that, they want instant recognition and enjoyment. Most producers consider that kind of music bull, yet they are unable to create a track as awesome as Niton, or Pjanoo, or even Rotonda.

^ Get off your high horse ty, music can be anything to anyone, your generalizations are cringe worthy. I like Eric Prydz but that track in particular screams garbage.

Wanna hear a rant? Kids these day have no education whatsoever in the history of electronic music, they all seem to have attention deficit disorder and crave some inane drop similar to hyped clown music. Seanandroid makes it well.

Well..back in "my" day, the likes of Tangerine Dream-Kraftwerk-Vangelis-Orbital, are the ones I looked up to. However, as the days go by as an amateur (at best) producing electronic, I know one thing for sure. L4C said it best. The moment you stop listening to what the kids listen to today....it's over. Couldn't agree more.
Again, yes...it may be simple however, it's refined. I don't necessarily like ALL of his tracks but I can say for sure "most" of what I know of his material I really dig.
Richard Butler
Damned simple yet effective as far as the audience goes. Like a Big Mac.
Fledz
I like him because he comes up with tracks that I can't even imagine, let alone see anyone producing. Then he releases one and bam, I love it and so do most other people.

It's a damn talent. I don't care if people think there's far better productions out there because the simple fact is he delivers time and time again. Simple yet effective.

Beatflux
Simple changes with a lot of subliminal changes works really well.

He uses that same tension string in a lot of tracks, but its not up front so there's no point in changing it. It does its job.
