For those who have gone in the past years, what are the price ranges for trying to get inside a particular club?

I only plan to go for 4 days and not sure if it's worth buying the VIP passes or just pay to get in.

prices will be around $50 - $80 at the door. I would suggest buying presales. We bought presales last year but there were parties that we ended up having to buy tickets at the door because we decided to go last minute.

Are adv tix sold on Resident Advisor.

Also how much would you say a 4-5 days trip total is roughly, maybe 3 day parties and 4 night parties something like that

$1000? more or less

flight and hotel can vary but probably around $1000-1500.

when you are actually there, the cost of eating can be cheap. i ate a lot of tacos when i was there :) drinks at the club can be expensive. i suggest drinking lots of domestic beer as they tend to be cheaper. i think our food and drinks for the 5 days we were there was around $1000.00. So i say play it safe and expect more the $3K for the whole trip.

edit* my numbers also included my wife. but i would still say plan around $3K to play it safe and to have a good time.

we went with Billy last year and yes, we ate cheap at times. drinks were costly so yes, drink beer while youre out. my hubby and I didn't buy any presales. first night we spent 60 each, 2nd night we spent 50 each, 3rd day we spent 30 each. our 4th day was spent in our room being sick then we left on the 5th day.

I think we spent almost $1000 for our room and about <$1300 for our flight. that's 2 of us.

this year, we're going for 6 days....no Billy and wife. :( maybe just 1 other couple and a friend. it started out as 9 people going, would have rented a villa but looks like a 2 bedroom condo for either 3 or 5.

oh well, we just want to get away and have fun. :D

Hotels are pretty cheap, got a nicely reviewed one with a 4 star rating for about $1300 after tax for all 10 nights that I just booked yesterday. You can find some that have great Kayak reviews for as little as $90 a night. They're little boutique hotels, but if you're trying to go cheap their is definitely decent options.

Drinks aren't bad either, not like Ibiza or Vegas.

Most of the hotels are boutique hotels which are pretty awesome considering the price and the proximity of everything such as 5th avenue/bars and beach.

I just got back from Playa a few weeks ago and fell in love with this place. Deep/Tech house was being played at just about every bar there which made me feel right at home.

Locked my condo down a few days ago when the dates were announced. This is my 3rd year attending! It gets better every year. Food is super cheap, tons of great chef owned restaurants In Playa. Look at Tripadvisor for Playa Del Carmen restaurants and you will not be disappointed.

Don't stay at an all inclusive, you'll be missing out on great bars and restaurants.

I cannot wait until January.
