edm is a 4 billion dollar industry and TA played a large role in building interest in trance and house genres. if this site isnt bringing in more viewership / and members then management needs to retool their business plan. I belong to several other forums that focus on health and fitness, they are oozing with members and are extremely active. And I dont buy the " facebook is killing trance addict" - cop out . IMO Facebook blows. its very disorganized and the TA page on there is . There is no sense of community anymore.

Difference there is the fitness community is mostly united in their interests (peak physical conditions), even if some disagreement may exist on how to achieve them. It can cultivate a large community that way.
By contrast, the 'EDM community' (re: followers of electronic music of any sort) is incredibly fractured, many forming their own scenes that caters to their particular tastes. TA's no different in that regard, though the community that's come to inhabit here has changed quite a bit from the early days. Big business may try to create a unified community at large, but as it hasn't happened in 20+ years of 'EDM culture', it ain't happening at all.
That all said, I still come back to TA's forums because, somehow, someway, it's cultivated a community that's remarkably diverse in interests, all things considered. |

Exactly, I like all the diversity here. People on these boards recommend some really good stuff that I may never have discovered in my own searching. Trying to find the the best in every genre these days is very time consuming. |

| I originally came here for the music, so I still check the DJ and Music threads on a daily basis. I check the COR less and less these days, as it does often appear that most of the people that I liked have moved to Facebook, leaving only a sparse handful of cool people and a mass of annoying heads. Either boring conversations or mindless trolling. |

Would roll with / 10
Also TA won't die. With all the glitz, glam and constant layout changes of the internet these days TA is easy on the eyes and sometimes it's ed up but it's a ed up that you know and can call home.
Ohshi- :nervous: |
