Huh. I don't thing the base of core users has changed much in the past year or two. There's a lot of dumb threads but there's always been.
I think we've had this exact conversation before but I find the core MD userbase to be extremly educated compared to the rest of the internet. If you go to RA or pretty much any electronic music blog site you'll find some real small minded morons - MD still is heaven compared to that. I still think the problem is that most of the new threads are made by new users or semi-trolls. If we had more people making serious threads I think we'd have much better discussion. |

I think MD hit its peak around 2009 when it was more active and had a lot of great members who actively kept up with dance music that wasn't trance or whatever Sasha was playing. Now most of them have left, and we have a growing population of J00F crackers taking their place who are just as bad as trance fans, merely with slightly better taste. |

I don't necessarily disagree but I don't think that we've had big changes in the last year or two. |
