I think I can speak for many people that attended this event... WE GOT SCHOOLED. I arrived at the club at 5 AM, missing his first 30 mins and the place was packed like I've never seen it before. Decor was amazing, and so was the crowed. I was a bit surprised that Digweed was playing at such a relentless pace right from the start. I wasn't sure what style he was going to play because the last time I saw him was at Circus and I wasn't in awe. It was techish / housish and nothing like his old school sound. But this time he was going all over the place with styles of music, from techno to prog to old school to anything you could ever dream of.. The crowed was eating it up and then some. At some points I had to stop dancing and I asked myself " Is he playing old school prog... this is 2002-2005 goodness". I thought that I would never hear that sound in my life and he gave it to us! His mixing and track selection was better then I've ever heard in my life and I've seen some pretty good performances. The story telling is like no other, I always thought that Hernan was the best but after this night.. not even in the same league. I was thinking in my head that this has to be one of the best performances of my life and then 9:00 AM came...
This guy went completely mental. It was a state of perfect chaos... I couldn't stop moving, every track was an earthquake, a big bang, a genesis moment. Soo much passion and emotion. Every track I was saying " WHAT IS HE DOING.. WHAT'S GOING ON!?!?". I finally sat down at noon and realized how exhausted I was and I had to go home and rest. I sadly missed the forum event with Sasha and Digweed but after this night, no regrets. I have witness greatness at it's best. Like many of you said, it's such a pleasure that after soo many events and parties, I could still get the feeling as if it's my first time out. Magical, memoribal, special night that I will never forget and cherish forever.
Thank you stereo, and thank you Digweed. I can't say that this is my fav party of my fav set, because nothing that've heard can compare to this. This is in a league of it's own.

PLEASE post as many tracks as possible that you guys have recognized, I want to relive that special moment.

Threads like this are the greatest fear of people like me who have given up hopes that nights like these still existed and stopped going to Stereo :(

Still, I'm happy you all got to experience it. But it's a jealousy laden, "watch your back" kind of happy

Mind = Blown is an understatement. I didn't think sets, and parties like that were possible. How fitting that Digweed, of all people, proved me wrong. Got there around 5am, and he already had the whole club by the balls. Wasn't pounding it out peak time style, but the deep and heavy basslines were in full effect. Incredible, mind boggling, reality defying stuff. It's like Digweed has access to some sort of alien DJ'ing techniques and methods that nobody else on Earth knows about....WOW. Stayed until the end...walked out confused as , questioning the meaning of life, and didn't really get back to normal until Monday afternoon lol.

Biggest heart breaker was finding out that the recording apparently screwed up, and there's no chance of ever reliving this (and to think...all of us were CONVINCED this will be the next "Live In..." CD)

It was one of the best nights ever at the new Stereo (post 2009).

Up there with that legendary Roger Sanchez night

Take that as a lesson that the universe rewards the faithful and optimistic. :o :o

imagine working on your chosen craft for over 30 years, having the financial freedom so you can continue your craft, surrounded by like-minded peers and having a radio show and an already supremely high respect and status so you know you will always be presented fresh and innovative productions and sets to go along with an already briliant mind for the music. When all those things are in place and you're at a place where the sound and audience is very conducive to your talents.. that confluence can be pretty mind-blowing. That was last Sat.

The only drawback to that night was that it was so packed and hot, it became very challenging near the end, trying to keep up with the audio onslaught.

And, btw, completely sober people were applauding Digweed also...that tells you how good his set was :p

The opening dj's did a great job warming up with some deep chuggy sounds.

huge agreement with this.. textbook opening set, brought the energy, sound, mood to proper levels.
