Ziptnf - Magic Treasure [rich progressive psytrance]

There were a lot of psytrance releases in 2013, and the last time I made a prog-psy mix, I hammered out a heavy-hitter. Laying it down again this time with more lush, rich, and delicate psytrance. I sorted through a large number of tracks from last year through this year to whittle down to this mix, and reloaded my arsenal with weapons.

I dug deep for these treasures, so enjoy the freshest progressive tunes around! Play it loud! :D

Alter Nature - Bursting With Life [Ovnimoon]
Flowjob & Motion Drive - Vibrating [Iono]
Mind Spin - Flow [Digital Nature]
Lyctum - Cosmic Web [TesseracTstudio]
Nick Sentience - Expand Your Mind [LW]
Vibrasphere - Autumn Lights (Mindwave Remix) [JOOF]
Solarix & Opposite 8 - Fast Train [Utopia Progressive]
Pulsar & Liquid Sound & Source Code - Sea Tales [Yellow Sunshine Explosion]
Smoke Sign - Dazed Goodbye (Harmless Prankster Remix) [GOA]
Liquid Space - Offbeat Meeting [Iono]
Major Source - Genuine [Sadhu]
Waveform - Magic Therapy [Landmark]
Techyon & Mother Womb - Fountain of light [Digital Freedom]
Lyctum - They Are Here [Digital Freedom]

One of your best mixes yet. It progresses beautifully, you almost can't tell when one track ends and the other one begins. Flawlessly mixed. Great job, Nick!

I started listening and the first track sounded wicked, but then my wireless signal went to hell and it wouldn't stream. You may have to stab me with an extended pole device at some point, but I will try to get round to listening to the full thing soon.

Your tracks stand out a lot when it comes to PSy-Trance, a lot of ear candy if you say. Good Job homie.

I wish I could agree, but while I think my flow/phrasing was on point, the mixing could have been a little better. A couple instances where I probably needed to handle the low end.

Thanks bro :D I generally try to find the most interesting/unique tracks that are around. There are a million good tracks that I could use, but generally I'm looking for great tracks. For this mix I was looking for tracks with my signature, bouncy, driving bassline, clear-cut melodies, and solid flow without too much of that off-beat chunky gallopy breakdown that is becoming so popular in prog-psy these days.

Same here for my genre. You got good track selection when it comes to Psy-Trance, keep up the good work.

The music you find is ing atrocious, painfully generic and an absolute insult to the words "progressive house". To compare yourself to Zip is risible.

Your just jealous.

Giving it a listen, haven't heard any psy for ages.

Running it through a 2nd time, I really like that its 'musical' than a lot of psy sometimes isn't, so you've found some ripper tracks with really nice melodies and riffs that really work well together.

Hey, glad you like it! Yeah I specifically aimed for more melodic tracks. You'd be surprised of the sheer volume of uninteresting, generic tracks that I had to sort through. Good ideas are few and far between these days.

Thanks for the listen! :D

I really enjoyed this mate, Ill echo what Lilith said, it was much more musicla and melodic than i was expecting. Some seriously good tunes in there. That first track is an absolute stormer, will be stealing that...

Mixing wise I thought it was pretty flawless, I certainly didnt notice any clangers and i didnt even notice any of the transitions!

I also thought the programming was excellent, quite happy stuff at the beginning building up to the Vibrasphere track before dropping back down to more stripped back stuff building back up to a more full on finish.

I have to say though, I wouldnt class any of this as progressive psy. In fact I thought this was just some damn good trance!

Top work sir
