Thumbs up on this post. :)

And because of that I think it's good to keep Speedy Gonzales in there :) (also for Holland as it's very different compared to other vocals)

Tracks posted in these kind of threads are an utter fest most of the time, yours isn't. Solid track. Nice progression, nice drive, good melody. I'd call it progressive house (lots of prog house around 2004-2007 has a similar built). Nothing new or innovative of course, but way better than most of the music produced these days.

I would release this on a 'Progressive' Label like Old SQL or Mistique.

First of all I would like to apologize to all you guys that it took me a while to respond. And I will tell you the truth why It took a while. For a artist putting your work open to be either praised or criticized is a very difficult thing to do. Especially because in the end music is a matter of taste. What means that there are people that are going to tell that they hate your song. A song that you have made with so much love, care and hard work. But I also believe that you can only grow as a artist if you are open for any criticism So that I why this night I have found the courage to read all your comments. And I will try to respond to most of them, since you have took the time to respond to my post. And I am truly overwhelmed with the amount of responses I got. And for that I am truly grateful whether the responses are good or bad!!! (BTW I am Dutch so please don't mind any English spelling mistakes I will probably make)

Ya good track. It has a bit of an old school flavor yet still fresher sounding. It's not as unique as you make it out to be though. Although most house is down around the 120-125 bpm range these days. I don't know much about music above that bpm anymore.

As for what music to make? The music that you love. I think it's ok to copy other's sounds because was is truly original anyways? But if you're gonna imitate a style, at least love that style as well, but do it just because it's popular.

Thanks for your opinion. I think it is unique since I have trouble finding labels that have this sound. Perhaps it is because this is a oldschool sound and they moved on that I am not a where of it. I also made these songs. And I think you will definitely find them far more different sounding then anything else. In fact I even did not border to ask about these two songs because I can’t think of any label that would be interested in this sound. But perhaps you have a different opinion about these songs too. I would really like to know. (You can also sent me a private message about it if you like)

Yea this is surprisingly nice. Honestly I'd drop the vocals though. I'd say this falls quite safely in the prog category.

I think that is rather good advice. So I removed the vocals. Would you also like to me to upload that version on youtube? And I think you mean the short Spanish break vocals. Because those I have removed. Or do you also mean the intro vocals?

I was disappointed when I read all this BS about how unique your sound is and how hard it was for you to think of a genre for it. It's just prog sounding trance go away its not special or even very good

Oke then I should definitely search at the progressive Trance labels. Any suggestions what labels I could sent it to? since this is such a standard sounding song in your opinion and sorry to disappoint you. I don't come from a trance background so what might seem common to you is not common to me. So you are welcome to educate me in that department and sent me some music to listen to.

I respectfully disagree with that statement. Give yourself credit for taking the time to produce something of lasting value for yourself, let alone others you have never met. If you make Rjen Music, then Rjen Music it is. :toocool:

Greetings Rjen.

You might look into releasing via a label on Bandcamp:

http://bandcamp.com/

On that site you can use a multitude of "tags" that can help people find your music more quickly.

Thanks. I will.

Keep it cheesy :)
(and make a dub version for the others)

Maar ik denk dat je heel goed weet hoe je het moet noemen ;)

cheesy, got it. thanks for listening to the other tracks.
Ik heb wel een idee wat het te noemen. Maar heb moeite gelijk soort iets te vinden op Beatport. Zodat ik bijpassende labels kan vinden om het naar op te sturen. .
