YES!!! Finally, I get to be first lol.:stongue:

Unghh I am so tired. I did not stay for the whole set too tired and stil suffering from the flu. Anyhow.......

I will give full details when I ake up but her eis what it is for what its worth. I thought the nite was alright. I enjoyed Picotto's set, I would have enjoyed it mroe though had I had enough room to dance and not have somebody bump into me all the time (as always). But I can't say I did not have a good time because I did. I had a great time. Here are my high lites of the nite as follows (for now):

  1. E-mailing the guestlist Early was a SPLENDID idea!!!!!!!!!
  2. E-mailing it twice was an even bettter Idea as well as giving them my FULL name.
  3. Making up with Itikia over the "picture" issue from Marco V along with TranceArmada (see pic below) and agreeing it was all just a big misunderstanding.

  4. Meeting all you TAs there :)
  5. Meeting the MAN HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HOLLY what a BAD ASS night !!! I can't belive the line up was insane 1 ING hour in the pouring rain !!! The clubb was packed wall2wall. Thank GOD they renovated or it wouldn't been a nightmare. Campaire to his North American debute ... this by far had way more ppl attending.

Picotto was amazing !!! NUFF Respect !!! Destoryed the GUV set but, still his NORTH AMERICAN debute@SYSTEM was better (B/C I LOVE TRANCE) As the night went on, his set got better and better !!! Pure HARD, PURE Darkness and smooth mixin' !!! The crowd was going insane !!! MP himself was having so much fun !!! SOOOOO many new tracks I never heard and hearing the new remix of VERDI was jaw dropping !!! I hope Picotto comes back soon !!! All I can say, Mauro Picotto got soooo much better in producing, remixin' and mixing !!!

DeepGroove, thank you so much for paying for my cover it was a wicked BDAY present !!! Simply wicked set !!! I can't belive you guys dropped all old school trance and trust me, it was a double treat to hear it on the same night as Mauro Picotto. Best part of the set was when Komodo was kickin' and I screamed out REWIND ..... I stopped the record and rewound it !!! The ROOM went nuts !!! Simply the smoothest mix from Lizard Man to 1998 ;) Great job !!!

Fuzion, wow that was the BEST set I heard from you !!!

Here are the things that pissed me off
1) LINE UP
2) The mothering GINOs from GUV all came ... I know MP is bad ass, but he attracted so many ing GINOs !!! They all had advance tickets
3)I know MP is expensive, but B&H GOLD CLUB SERIES splatted their logo on everything and it was annoying to see all over club.

Special thanks goes to my GF,Joe (HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAN !!!), Vincent ( you mad man),tatgirl, Swamper, (great chatting with you jigga), Obi, Mike, EMaster, itika and sooooo many more !!!

I hope you guys enjoyed the reduced list ... saving 10.00 off cover was really nice of SYSTEM !!!

What can I say about this party? I'll try to review it as best as I can, but for those who weren't there, you have to realise that no words can really describe what went on there. You had to be there to witness it.

First of all I'd like to thank Swamper for organizing the Picotto contest. Luckily I won, for I otherwise I wouldn't even be there. Now, on to review.

We got to club around 11, and thanks to Time2Burn and Tatgirl entered the club within 5 minutes. Now started the anticipation... The closer it got to 1AM, the more and more nervous(for a lack of better word) we were. Finally 1AM.. Mauro Picotto comes on.
------ MAYHEM BEGINS --------
I was absolutely loving it. People around me were absolutely loving it. It's been a while since I've seen so many jumping and smiling faces at a party. It was absolutely phenomenal. True it was a little packed at the beginning, but towards 4AM it was simply perfect. Lot's of room to dance. Picotto was simply awesome. I loved how he interacted with the crowd. As far as I could tell his mixing was impeccable. The 2nd part of his set you had to witness ! So hard, yet so beautiful!

Music was only one reason why this party was great though. 2nd reason was people around me.. Everyone around me was awesome as well. I love when people around me love the music as much as I do, and ... they DID ! I wanna say special thanks to Rubyriva(I've never seen a girl with so much energy and passion for music at a party before, you RULE), Nightcreature(man, it's great that you loved it, I was worried ) and Tatgirl(so many Picotto toys.. awesome !! ). I don't think this party would be as great without you 3!

Easily the best party of the year !!!!
TECHno addict
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible set!
Best party of my life.
Here it goes.........
Got there around 10:30, didnt wait in line for a second.Got in tohear Mark Scaife (not sure on the spelling) dropping some wicked progressive/tribal to start things off. I was VERY impressed. Played a style i could only compare to Steve Lawlers Lights Out and Deep Dish. He spun a very smooth set right up until Mauro stepped up! Didnt really know what he was going to show up with......Hard Techno? Tech Trance? Id have to call it Hard Funky Techno. I only recognized a few tracks he played through the whole set
Bangkok - MP
Awesome - MP
Hong Kong - MP
Verdi (Rmx) - MP
Paranoid Dancer (Dj Hell rmx) - Johannes Heil
Megamind - Taub (Rmx)
Dariush - Ira
Thats pretty much all i can think of right now.
The vibe in there was amazing! And im not even going to complain about the space. I was at Labour of Love at The Guv and it was 10 times worse than last night. Met some wicked people......Shelby, Melissa, Jim, Mike (thanx for the puffs) and my cousin met Taub (TA). Smokin set from start to finish. Ive never danced so hard in my life!! (i was up front with long white sleeve Ecko shirt with the blue logo) At one point during the set we were up at the front starring at Picotto in amazement he reached over the booth and handed my cuz Tom a CD!! We stayed for his whole set. He was lovin the crowd. He finished his set with a canadian flag wrapped around his head and waving a PICOTTO ontario licence plate. Insane.
Left the party around 6:30, popped the cd in my deck for the drive home, only to hear the exact same tracks he spun that night!!! Unbelievable studio set, with ALL new tracks!!! Oh one of them i just remembered was 99.9?? i think thats what its called. He has the track name on his website. Best party of the year, best party ever!!!
Next up......6 YR. Guv anniversary, Misstress Barbara )Oct 25th (system)

What a massive night!

All that needs to be said is that its 6pm Saturday, and my legs are still in a world of hurt :o

Also, I had a pair of Etymotic ear plugs last night. I strongly suggest for people who value their hearing to order a pair. The sound was still good with the plugs in, and I had absolutely NO ringing afterwards! Here's the link; http://www.etymotic.com/ The model that I have are the ER-20.

Anybody knows that name of track that has following vocals "I'll do anything you say boy" ? I absolutely lost it when I heard it !

Rev. Paroxyzm
ABSOLUTELY AMAZING..... except... TOO ING CROWDED!

I couldn't dance, unless you count head-bobbin, dancing. If you do, you're an idiot.

and yes.... TOO MANY ING GINO'S.
KEEP YOUR SHIRT ON PLEASE... NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR HAIRY CHEST... unless you're hairless... then WE STILL DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR SWEATY BODY!

I was blown away! :)

Thankfully, Durafei had won 2 free tickets and he was kind enough to take me with him ^_^. Thank you once again Durafei! :) We didn’t have a problem getting in, and by 11:20 we entered Systems. After meeting Frank (E*master), Artem (TranceArmada) and others, we just chilled with them for around one and a half hours while anxiously awaiting for Picotto to start spinning. I still remember my anticipation in the 10 minutes before Picotto started playing. It was astonishing :). I was very hyped and eager to hear Picotto play live, and those 10 minutes seemed like forever :).

I started jumping for joy when Picotto placed his first vinyl on the turn table :). Never have I heard so much amazing techno played on a single night. Picotto destroyed me completely :). His techno was hard and dark at times. A perfect combination for dancing. The only issue that I had was lack of space to dance :(. I couldn’t even glow stick because I was bumping into people all the time, sniff :(. At times Picotto teased the crowed, and when the crowed would least expected it he would pump up the bass and blow everyone away :D. I enjoyed it when Picotto instructed all the glow stickers to glow stick with his hands, at one point. As well as when he would help the crowed anticipate when the uplift of track is going to occur with the motion of his hands. At the end all the TAs in front were pointing to the word spinner that said “Back To Cali”. But Picotto pointed at his watch implying that he was out of time and couldn’t play it then.

The sound system at System Sound Bar is amazing. It’s like it was specially tailored for techno. My ears are still plugged to this moment. The lasers were great!

Overall, I was happy with the party. The highlight of my night was meeting some of the TAs Caryn (RubiRiva), Frank (E*master), Artem (TranceArmada), Nathalie (TataGirl), and others. As well as hearing amazing techno :). We left at around 7:00am and this party will definitely leave a positive imprint in my mind. :) Thanx again Durafei for the tix :)

I’m looking forward to seeing you all when Ferry Corsten is going to be spinning next at the Guv.
