Guess my crew and I will be attending the Cityfox Halloween party with Tale of Us

I've been doing the same, even no reply from my e-mail to them asking about a party this Halloween. Can't wait much longer though, but RH is just a can't miss if announced.
CarS
the recent RH lineups have been kind of meh, esp. for the money.
not saying anything about the overall event, but lineup wise, they've been less than "can't miss"

SS for me..

You're right For me, the RH events are more worth the price tag because of the atmosphere and overall guaranteed good time. I mean, this warehouse was the same venue for both this CF and this springs RH and the spring setup was just absolutely immense. CF was much more intimate and probably used a sixth of the warehouse space that RH did. Just different vibes I suppose.

Also, heard that RH might be 11/1 but can't confirm that it's not just a rumor.

Don't bother mmarino137, I have been trying to convince CarS to check out a RH event for 1 YEAR already... hahaha... It seems, he's blinded by his hate for the burner community to even give RH a chance.. haha

Hopefully RH will throw an event sometime soon.

ouch, sorry, don't mean to come off that neg.
I'm just judging it by the line-ups and the money and what ends up taking place at the same time invariably.

Like this 10/31, 8h of Silent Servant, that looks great in my book (even if party wise, a small room like TP won't compare to something like RH if it happened, or CF. But musically, yeah that's a contest IMO).

Ditto 11/1, both the Verboten live night looks nice, and prob. the BL/Res. event. (here too, the setting at V. doesn't compare...)

I do know from people who go RH, that the parties are a lot of fun (eventwise) esp. from the production side, never doubted that...

As to burners, I guess there's all types these days...
it's the true believers, who I don't hate, but dislike, because I think they're hypocrites: they're the first to believe in the algorean bull, or the "socialism is ok, it just hasn't really ever had a chance", etc, and then they do that brontosaurus carbon-footprint thing.
Strangely enough it's the mega rich tross like the zuckis of this world, the one's who are ruining what BM once was, who are honest about it: they don't give a about the orig. mentality, bring their humongo rigs to party just to be where (they think) it's cool to be (and rumor has it, use money there too)

Actually, are NYC RH parties even very burnerish?

lest you think I've nothing for hippidom, you'll find me at Phil Lesh 10/31 and 11/1, and not where the sell-outs are sitting, either.

last question: mm is comparing the space used by CF and RH in the same warehouse: was RH just using that much more space, or does RH get that many more people attending too?
CF prob. pulls in well over 1k, is RH > 3x that?
EarnYourKeep
how can you hate the burner community? they don't believe in bra's

Burning Man is just one of those things you have to experience, it can't be described...

RH probably used twice the space cityfox used.. and probably drew in double that of the last cityfox party.

Production wise? RH beats CF in every aspect.

Crowd wise? it would be insulting to RH to even compare... lol don't get me wrong... Cityfox throws a great party though.

Music wise? Well... IMO, the ppl that goto RH, go for the experience, and the music is a fraction of that.

I think, considering RH charges $125pp, and the ticket requires a invite code, and they still draw in a HUGE crowd... kinda speaks for itself... no?
yumpop
RH used the space next door to Cityfox

Anyway, what's up with people on RH's dick? They don't get as much love on the playa anymore, not the only game in town..

As neonbeats stated...
Cityfox used a space next door to RH in the past
However, with the last cityfox event, they used the RH space, which is 160 Scott Ave

RH wasn't getting as much love on the playa as in the past? huh???
I was there, and it seems RH has the ONLY sunrise game in town... Maybe you can clarify that one for me?

I didn't notice that comment..

What are you talking about Disco Knights had sunrise sets daily. A lot of burners are over RH, they changed a lot in the last couple of years. If it was going for Lee's set I would say do it otherwise, there is plenty of other sound on the playa. I don't blame RH for it, they have a lot of buzz, sometimes too much from people posting about them. It made them a little too big

Last Halloween even though I was given a code, I chose another party over it. Then on the second night, I ended up there like three am, no ticket. Stood outside for a minute and they just completely opened the doors to everyone out there, right before Lee got on and was handed coconut water because RH was smart to keep the crowd healthy, I was there because I was meant to be there, just like it should happen to find you on the playa, not because you read about it on some board and chased them

BPM_PHL
Lol ok, you just randomly ended up in that part of BK by happenstance because it was "meant to be."

lmao... I thought I was the only one laughing at yumpop, allow me to apologize in advance for being at the same event as you are for the wrong reason (if there is even such a thing).

yumpop is another burner who feels.. he is a true burner cuz he didn't attend the RH event cuz he didn't read about it on some "forum" and chased it down...

Apparently, I am not a 'real' burner because I attended BM cuz I was 'chasing' a great time or event...

My question is... WTH does any of this even matter? If you, me or anyone else for that matter has a great time at BM, RH, CF or whatever... and we wanna share it with the forum so that others can enjoy it... and/or offer their opinions. Why in the world not?
