| If something earns that sort of score, it's supposed to be of quality that will stand the test of time - hence culturally relevant, or at least dictating where trends show potential lasting significance. In theory, anyway. |

Ok, well I've never really thought of numerical numbers attached to music in that way, but I suppose that makes sense.
I'm curious to go back through some of the bigger review outlets and look at some of the pivotal/"touchstone" type albums from the last few decades to see how they stacked up at the time. |

I went through the RA review archives three or four years ago, clicking on everything that was rated 4 or higher. The 4,5s had a slight tendency do be stuff that was trendy at the time (say, mnml around 2006) but most of the 5s still will be regarded as classics today. |
