Hmm, I dunno about that. I'm not talking about superficial desires. I think we know what we want from life (spiritually, emotionally) at a very young age. We may not be able to articulate it that early on, and perhaps our brains aren't intellectually ready to act upon it - but I think it is definitely always there, and no I don't think it changes. |

I guess this whole discussion depends on your beliefs about what makes us human, what consciousness is and if we have souls, and how to quantify the phenomenon.
It's very easy to break humans down through psychology, neuroscience, etc. and come up with an answer. But isn't that too easy? And a little unromantic? Pffft. |
