dave seaman's GU could be the best mix CD ever, AND mixed by protools.
if he'd mixed it manually however, i'm willing to bet it would have more personality. it's not like he's doing anything there that couldn't be done live...
the protools mixing would be to make it easier for the dj, so it can be done in one take. i'm guessing there is varying degrees to how much the dj is actually involved, even with software. |

I was talking to rubez. He makes threads calling digitally mixed CDs the "best progressive trance mix ever" and then complains about digital mixing, he s on harmonic mixing and claims top DJs never do it consciously, and it turns out a clutch of his favourite DJs openly talk about keying their collections and mixing harmonically... it just goes on and on. The guy doesn't have a ing clue what he's talking about and his contradictions are effortless to highlight, and yet he still runs his mouth in every single thread like the pissed-up idiot in the pub who's loudly convinced that everyone needs to hear his sage wisdom on how to sort out the economy. |

A couple of months ago the guy was posting mixes assembled in Ableton and calling it "mixing on personal and professional level not jus fiddling around with cdjs or turntables". He praises all of my mixes and then tries to on them. The guy is completely out of balance and tries to pass off an online persona. Nothing he said in this thread made any sense and was just him trying to save face, no doubt trying to atone for getting shat on for his Ableton mixes. He's a nutjob and he needs his "Juan Paulino" superstar DJ persona chopping down before he runs riot across every sub-forum on TA.
Anyway, I'm through with this. You're going on Ignore for a while. I'm sure other people will quote your bull and ruin it, but I'm wasting my time schooling you in thread after thread. It's not worth the energy. |
