Not at all. I'm trying to justify why I still even post on this forum. It's filled with stuffy s who think anything other than what they like and listen to is meaningless.
And then they take the time to bash, bash, and bash some more. Does it really make you feel better? :rolleyes: |

| It's true that making endless Tiesto threads is pretty tragic, but unless you make the same comment in every Armin, Aoki, Guetta, Skrillex etc. thread then it's definitely all about the Tiesto tattoo. |

Yea, problem is, none of those artists you mentioned receives nearly as much attention on here as Tiesto.
I don't go bashing people for liking metal or country even though I don't listen to it, so why would that be the case for any of the DJs you mentioned.
At the end of the day, we're all just music fans. We all have our own tastes.
This "I'm better than you 'cause I listen to x" mentality is so obnoxious.
Old Tiesto is long gone. Cool story. Let's all move on and focus on the artists we do like now. |

| Pretty sure Armin gets just as much attention, if not more. I personally think it's pretty pathetic to keep following a DJ who "sold out" well over a decade ago, constantly complaining that he's still awful. But I can also understand why people get bitterly disappointed when a musician or DJ they used to love turns to e in the blatant aim of making money, especially when it's someone like Tiesto where nobody else has really stepped up to the breach in terms of replacing them musically. You probably don't understand this because you've only been listening since, what - 2010? - and Tiesto wasn't doing anything even remotely listenable by then. |

Just because that's when I started listening to him doesn't mean the stuff he was releasing then was the stuff I liked. ISOS was what got me hooked, then the Magik series.

Can you read? I never said anything about anyone not liking what I like thinking they're better than me. It's the way people approach the discussion of music they don't like. It happens all too often on here.
Just because it's not your cup of tea doesn't mean you have to discredit people for it. TA is infamous for doing that to people, especially new posters. |
