I wouldn't mind $25. I miss the days where I'd pay $20-25 to get into a place to see a big DJ. Now ticket prices are much more than that. And I'm not one to throw down huge money for parties. |

I don't know this to be true, but I wouldn't be surprised if both Maceo / Solomun command a bigger bookimg fee then Digweed presently does. You could even argue that they are both bigger international draws then digweed is right now. |

The price point is fine, I just don't get why they release so few advance tickets. Only 200? That's annoying. If I hadn't gotten advance tickets I don't know if I would have bothered trying to go.
F lining up at 9pm in December for anything. |
$30+ for Solumun?
I dunno, I think the days of it being Saturday afternoon and thinking, 'hey DJ *****' is playing tonight, we should get a crew together and check it out' are gone?
Now, you need to be on the pulse of their bookings be it social media or forums like this, and then you need to commit yourself weeks in advance.
What happened to getting list, or just first come first serve and if people bounce, let more people in. You know, like a bar?!
Sure, you're going to have special events, sell tickets for those, but EVERY weekend seems like you need to get tickets. |

amen.
used to randomly go to footwork now we can't even show up to a club unless its locals night, and most of the locals getting booked don't even play what i want to hear..
im not arguing the fact they may be bigger draws but like all the guys i mentioned have been known to constantly deliver. lately these 'deep house/tech' shows have been really hit or miss. a lot of this deep house being played has an EDM like feel with lots of drops and its hard to really get into it. haven't seen solomun, but maceo was pretty dope both times I've seen him. but yea im not going to shell out top dollar for something that may not be that great in the grand scheme of shows |

| Errrrm if I recall correctly tickets were $25-30 last time he was at CODA and that was a Thursday night. He cost a lot to book on a Thursday night last time and I imagine he costs even more for a weekend gig. Are we really complaining about an extra $5-10 for one of the most in demand djs in the scene right now? You guys sound like cheapskates and are making it sound like tickets are $100 for this show. |

I've paid less, I've paid more. Price is not my huge beef. I know it costs to book people.
I think $20-$25 is a good median price. And I would be prepared to pay $30-$40 at the door. But presales should not be $35+.
I paid less for Sasha or Digweed.
Cost is not my concern, my beef is tickets. I know I don't have the solution, and don't know what it is.
Or I'm just an who really misses the whole 'reduced before 11 with list' which meant I had until the day before to decide if I wanted to go or not. And if I didn't make it, someone in line did. |
