basically the first half of 02...was good.
we were even comparing it to 98/99 with quality tunes and live sets
southern sun/dutch dimension/mayday
2nd half
a bunch of rehashes were released of old classics
Cafe del mar remixes/bad tiesto remixes/a few ugly pvd reworks/bad live sets/some djs went into hiding/cheese fest by gielen
which turned off alot people who were craving new sounds |

yup... theres just nothing at all in the uk these days though other than pure cheese... ive found that if u want good tunes cheap ur best bet is to buy them in bulk from german or dutch websites |

WRONG. The year of prog was 2001 and late 2000. That was when a lot of dj's turned prog and he ones that always had played prog-esque tunes became more popular and played even more hardcore prog. Cue ascension of Holden to his throne as prog king as held by many. Observe at least 20 top dj's putting out prog 2-disc sets. Max Graham finished what Collins started in turning tranceport into transport aka prog. Collins also turned strictly prog around then. Also Sasha & Digweed gained even more followers. This year is more along the lines of beginning to mould prog and uplifting together.. and i really like the results!
And dont kid yourself. all the popular tunes are still the ones being hammered out by the dutch triumverate + PvD. |

| I can defintally say this has been the biggest year were every-thing sounds like every-thing. Thats really what pissed me of about trance artist, i just got bored, but hey thats only me. |

| I like the trance this year. It's sounds different from every other year which is the way it's supposed to be. Yes some producers have sucked this year but it should'nt over shadow some of the great tracks put out this year. |

| Haven't been hearing much good new trance stuff from the big names these days. Been pretty with progressive. If I listen to trance then it's usually stuff from a few years back, namely 99/00. |
