What was your first Pvd night like?

| Mine was in the spring of 99 or 2000. Twilo. I got on the line at 12 :30 and didnt get in till 5 :30 in the morning. Me and Tom were soked and pissed off. Then all of our problems were washed away.He was amazing that night. It was my first time hearing For and Angel (EVER:crazy: )THat was the best all around night at a club ever. Sound quality was perfect, Paul was god, and the people/ vibe was the best ever in a club (i have yet been anywhere that topped twilo) |

1st Time (Twilo)
Long ass wait. The line wasn't too long. The club just got filled up. They started a first out first in policy. If one person walked out one person would be let in. Not many people left :(
The line was at a standstill for like 3 hours. We got inside at like 5:30 and stayed until 8:30. Was exhausted and sick at the end and couldn't last through his encore.
2nd Time (Twilo)
I think we got there really early and avoided all lines. It was too early so once again we were worn out and sick before the end and left at around 8. Once again, missed his encore.
3rd Time (Sound Factory)
We got there at 10 and the line was wrapped around the block. At least a 2 hour wait. We had a buddy who is a professional line cutter. We got inside before 11. I don't remember much energy during this set. I got very sick at the end and couldn't stand up without getting very nautious. Encore missed again.
4th Time (Exit)
Got there at 10:30. Walked right in with no wait. Melissa danced with crazy old tapdancer. Met lots of TAs for the first time. The place got overly packed by 1 and there was no room to move. By the time PVD got really good I was floored once again. I Didn't leave this time and found a comfortable place to sit. By the time I could stand Edgar V was on. I think we left at like 7.
as you can see I have never lasted through an entire PVD show. I have a 3 year history of getting sick before he finishes. My goal is to break this trend and be on my feet when he gets good. Writing all this out actually helped me plan out my night at Roxy. |

Twilo - Feb 9, 2001
Jumped out of a cab and right at the end of the line at around 12:30. Everyone dreads waiting on long lines but Twilo was the only venue I actually didnt mind waiting in line for because you'd look at all the different kinds of people that were out that night but 99% of them shared the same interest as you did that night and by the time you were ready to enter the club, you already met the people waiting in front of you, the people waiting behind you and the people behind them lol. I just remember being worried about getting in because I had a chalked id and the male bouncer had just kicked a group of people off the for whatever reason and then followed that up by saying "Show me your id's people, I want real drivers liscense's, Not a permission slip from your mother."
Got in with no problem at around 2 only to hear Pvd playing Orbital's Nothing Left. A few hours and a handful of drinks later he started changing up his style, throwing down breaks and what not when out of the darkness of his set he dropped Together We Will Conquer..Very memorable moment.
We left at around 6:30. At that point of I was plastered also upset that my friends wanted to leave and I wanted to tell them to leave without me but that would have been a bad decision.
That was an awesome night which is why I remember so much but It would be topped a few months later with Paul's next visit to Twilo in April 2001. |

July 13th at Loveparade Radio and at Love From Above and again August 2nd at Nature One. |
