What was your first Pvd night like? (pg. 3)

Feburary 2000 @ Twilo
People usually say the first major DJ you see you fall in love with. I saw Sasha and Digweed in my first major clubbing experience was impressed more by Twilo itself then the dual. Of course back then I didn't appreciate progressive as much as I do now.
Then came Mr. Paul van Dyk. I was so impresesed by his set I stayed until the every end even though my friends left hours before. This is the time when Paul released Out There and Back and was hammering his tracks. I left Twilo when the lights came on.
Since then I never missed a PvD party in NYC except the Exit party despite the fact that I've been living in Atlanta for the past 2 years.

Jan. 2000 Twilo... Gouryella - Gouryella sparked my trance engine a few months back and i was itching to find out what PvD was all about... around these days, 80% of the stuff van Dyk played was trance... i instantly became a twilo regular

i remember when luis diaz played the remix of the american beauty track, i was upstairs at the time in line to get my TWILO CARD!!!:D
i still have it, just to remember twilo. and i have water bottles too with twilo water in it. i keep the flyer (if i get one) and water bottle from every night out and i label them...ok, so we all have issues;)
and then at guvernment, mark oliver played the remix of the gladiator track b4 pvd came on...little movie track remix coincidences b4 PvD:eyespop: |

His 1 year Anniversary at Twilo: March 2000
It was a magical night. I was addicted from then on and never missed a Twilo show. When Twilo closed May 2001 I saw him at Avalon Aug 10th then flew to Ibiza for a month to see him at Amnesia Sept 6th then I saw him at Space Dec 28th. :crazy: |

| My first time was also March 13, 2001. My bro got me started on listening to dance music the fall before with Oakey's Live at Space in Ibiza mix but then progressed once I got a copy of PvD's 192 minute Live at the O mix, which is still one of my favorite to this day. So I kinda had an idea what I was going in for, but for those who went to Twilo... you know I had no idea what I was really in for. I had seen saw Carl Cox before, which I enjoyed, but PvD was one of my first times at Twilo and that's where I fell in love with the music, the people, the vibe, everything, and most of all PvD. I remember getting a ride from these sketchy girls in Queens cuz I was visiting a friend there before I went to the show but I had talked to them before and they said they would give me a ride. I remember I was hanging out with one of the girls that gave me a ride but right when Paul came on, I was front and center the whole time and don't even know if I paid one bit of attention to her the rest of the night, can you blame me? I danced my ass off til at least 7 when they dragged me out of there saying they were gonna leave me and my friend if we didn't come. Needless to say I wasn't ready to leave but man it was one hell of a night. Seen him 5 times so far and can never get enough. |

I think you mean Jan 00. :) He was bi-monthly. He didn't play in Febuary.
I've always said that it would be fantastic if my birthday was the same night as a PVD show. Well after midnight Nov 1st I turn a big 24. Whooppdy Dooo. :rolleyes: I'm all birthdayed out. in Libras. :crazy: |

| My first and only PvD experience was at the Chicago House of Blues in August 2001. I foolishly did not buy tickets and a few days before the show it sold out(when I was actually gonna buy them). But I was determined to go. So I grabbed my brother and friend and went there that night. We got there hoping to buy tickets from a scalper. But so did like 50 other people. So we stood around for like two hours with no luck. But still I waited... Then our break came when a HOB employee came out and asked a group of us standing next to the entrance if we needed tickets. We said hell yeah and he said how many. There was my group and two guys and a guy and girl from Ireland. He said "ok ill be right back". So he came back and said that some guy that works there was selling VIP wristbands for $40. We were like :D:D and said we'll take em. So we gave him the money and he got us the wristbands. We went in and up the elevator to the VIP and then went straight down to the floor without hesitation. We were there to dance right:cool: So then PvD came on like 30 minutes later and gave us all a night to remember with a 3 hour set! I was extremely happy to see him. I also met up with the Irish dude on the dancefloor and also talked briefly to some guy who was with a group of people from Toronto. Those Toronto TA's know what a good time it was. Well thats my PvD story:) |

and last time pvd spun in nyc 6/14, it was amit's birthday!!
and he spun on my bday 8/1 in ibiza, but i was not fortunate enough to go...but i saw him 7/27 in chicago!!:D |
