the vocal mix of Dutch Force - Deadline :wtf:
Syntonic
Love the lyrics...can't imagine it without. Probably would still hold up on the instrumental side but whatever.
On the Trance side I would say these:
Did Sunblind ever get released besides on the Movements In Still Life Japanese release?

Chicane - Saltwater

There are so many tunes:
Solar stone - waterfall
Delerium - silence.. Etc etc
Or do you only mean tunes that were first without lyrics and where the lyrics were added later?

The majority of songs would sound pretty poor without their vocals, because the vocal is usually intended to be the lead melody. You're taking the focal point of the whole arrangement out.

Actually I'm having a hard time finding a track that I really dislike without the vocals.
Gat Decor - Passion, Chicane - Offshore, BBE - 7 Days And One Week and Nalin & Kane - Beachball e.g. are tracks which were successful before a vocal version was made.
I think good vocal trance tracks, or better the vocals trance tracks I like, actually still sound decent without the vocals, and that IMO is how it should be.
Matter of taste of course which version one prefers, but I still often buy the dub version next to the one with vocals if a dub exists.
Lisaya e.g. first makes the track and then has to come up with matching lyrics. Often he does already have a singer in mind though.
In uplifting the vocal part often is not the lead melody, e.g. RAM & Susana - RAMelia (Tribute To Amelia).

bill hamel - perspectives
the-sixth
Mono Culture - Free
the-sixth
Freefall - Skydive
Although that was originally a remix of miro - paradise that was rejected by hooj so the infamous vocals were added later and a classic was born

Perpetuous Dreamer - The Sound of Goodbye is a vocal one I like, but really needs the vocals.

So true! That is absolutely an example that perfectly fits in this setting.

I LOVE the Pryda Original Mix of this track, but the vocal version, and that "I knoooooooooooooooow" that extends through the drop of the track sends chills up my spine.
