...and they are over-televising it because they know this attracts a large amount of viewers and this will also put more money into their pockets due to the ratings shooting through th eroof. I wonder hw much money Channels like CNN made off Spet. 11 and the sniper issue. You think they are just tellevising all this to make people "aware"? Bull. They are doing this to make a good quick buck. Not Cause they care. Every News covereage does it for that reason or else what would be in it for them? they don't exactly have volunteers working @ CNN or the others :stongue:. Fact of the mater is, if they were not getting ratings off this they would not be televising it.
Let's say Some dude threatened to blow up the golden gate bridge Terrorist)if he did not get money or something. People would drop the Sniper issue immdediately if there was something that they knew would attract more ratings and sponsors than the sniper. |

I absolutely hate CNN.. 700 hostages are being held by Chechen Terrorists in Moscow, and CNN is even afraid to call these guys terrorists(CNN calls them gunmen). In fact, they don't even in' give enough coverage to that story.
Sniper must be CAUGHT. But CNN is making money on that story and many others. That's what I hate ! |
dude I am not even surprised remember when they were blowing up appartment buildings in Moscow a couple years ago they showed one small segment on it and that's it. CNN. Oh and BTW BBC is the only news company that those terorists are talking to. the best source I found is www.rambler.ru they get updates on the whole situation every minute almost |

I'd go with europe.cnn.com
Cannot trust this American CNN - they are nothing but bull. I remember how they were always against Israel, but how quickly they changed after Sept 11. |
Hmm, "American CNN"? I'm pretty sure no matter where CNN has HQ's, Mr. Turner still owns them all (thus establishing them all as being American). The reason why American CNN is pro America, is because wow their American. I agree, the CNN media machine is extremely bias and at times considered one of the most powerful weapons of the U.S Military. However, I think you are confusing interests with propaganda. As a whole the people of America were terrified of the sniper because he was in their backyard. While unfortunately mother russia is a good 7-8 month boat ride away. (thats a lot of vodka) I'm not debating the validity of which news is more important, but rather which news means most to which people. If that made any sense. Most American's don't even know where Canada is, let alone what a Chechen (sp?) is!?! |

Hm.. Did you know that it is very likely that that same Al-Queda that is responsible for Sept. 11 is also responsible for that situation in Moscow. Maybe not directly, but it is very possible that they sponsored that terrorist act. Chechens terrorists who were in the theatre are islamic extremists, just like Al-Queda. So you could argue that situation in moscow is just as important to Americans as the sniper. Unfortunately average american probably doesn't recognize this, hence doesn't want to watch it. What CNN does? Instead of educating him, they shows him what he wants to see. Thus more people watch CNN, hence more expensive advertisement, hence CNN makes more money.
