Yesterday I was at the hardware store and a song was playing on the radio. It got stuck in my head. The problem is, the volume was quite low, and I wasn't able to make out any of the lyrics. The only part is did get was...
"naah naah naah naah, nah-nah-nah-nah"
That's actually what's being sung, I'm not substituting them for other words, and that's kind of part of the chorus and repeated a few times during the song. The first 4 notes there are descending and longer than the last 4 notes, which are closer together as well as shorter.
I'm pretty sure it's 80s. Slow-ish kinda song, a male singer, and generally a bit melancholy sounding. I've definitely heard it before, but I cannot for the life of me remember who it's by, nor any of the words.
