COR, I need your help to ID a song

Everyone on my Facebook is having a good laugh at this, so I figure why not spread the joy here.

Yesterday I was at the hardware store and a song was playing on the radio. It got stuck in my head. The problem is, the volume was quite low, and I wasn't able to make out any of the lyrics. The only part is did get was...

"naah naah naah naah, nah-nah-nah-nah"

That's actually what's being sung, I'm not substituting them for other words, and that's kind of part of the chorus and repeated a few times during the song. The first 4 notes there are descending and longer than the last 4 notes, which are closer together as well as shorter.

I'm pretty sure it's 80s. Slow-ish kinda song, a male singer, and generally a bit melancholy sounding. I've definitely heard it before, but I cannot for the life of me remember who it's by, nor any of the words.

Just for your lulz, I've recorded myself (poorly) humming the 8 note "nah nah nah nah" part. Link below:

Help me CORbi-wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

Hearing you attempting to sing this song almost as cringe worthy reading an Earn Your own Melanin post

Beenie man - oh na na na (remix)

Oh, I'm well aware of how my singing voice is :p Really wanna ID this song though, it's driving me nuts.

The COR came through for me last time I did this, which must be many years ago now, on a Richard Marx song.

I was j/k :p

Yeah, that one keeps coming up in all my Google searches for "nah nah nah" songs, along with Hey Jude.

OrangestO
The only Na Na Na Na song that matters.

Sushipunk
LOL, that's the other one that Google keeps giving me.
