Huh? It's been so long since their collab that it seems completely redundant to mention the association now.
I thought the live act list included a far more lively, interesting lineup. I've been loving everything Bicep-related these days. |

No you didn't; there are dozens of other names you could have mentioned in the same breath as Fanculli's if you wanted to make a point about irrelevant and boring weird tech-house jocks, but only dropped Zabiela's because you were obviously thinking about One + One. And that's fine, but don't bull your way out of an irrelevant criticism by playing it off like it was some kind of coincidence. |

Really now.. Zabiela's sound has changed for sure but "weird tech house" is not an apt description for his current sound (more acid ravey type stuff). You're clearly trying to back out of that prehistoric One+One reference. |

Seen him a few times (not really actively, just checking out what's going on upstairs). Not a fan of him, he seems to play like 90% jacking chicago acid drum tools, if you love that sound, great, otherwise....
I think it's cool that DJ Stingray made it on the list. Seems like he's the only electro DJ on there (altough Objekt plays a ton of electro these days). I don't always like what he plays but he plays soooo far off the usual trendy underground clubbing mainstream that it's nice to see him get more popular.
I also thought some of these new "minimal" (ie. 90s tech house :p) guys like Binh, Onur Özer and Evan Baggs would have made it but I guess that sound is still quite niche in grand scheme of things. I guess in a few years when everyone is yawning of the thought of yet another obscure cut from 1998 :stongue: |

That gig list isn't up to date. My mate has booked him for his night in Liverpool early next year and it was their fastest selling event ever. Sold out in 48 hours.
Anyway, you've shifted the terms of debate, because nobody moaned about Zabiela not being on the list, only about your , out of date comparison. Using Zabiela's gigs to try and prove a point about Fanciulli is begging the question. |
