Must have been a good one...we didn't make a thread! What did everyone get up to?

Drove to my parents place after work and picked up a couple baskets worth of fresh veggies and herbs.

Cilantro, parsley, oregano, mint, thyme, sage, marjoram, basil; then some leeks, green onions, potatoes, beans, and some fennel.

Gonna spend the majority of the day today cooking some stuff with these :D

I'm moving out of my flat next month after three years and a great many post night-out sessions, so we had one last party here with the decks out, the record button on and a -load of red wine guzzled.

This afternoon we're off to watch some slightly better known DJs do the same thing at a free outdoor party. The weather is just about holding it together right now.

Been on vacation for so long that I don't even know what day of the week it is. I was wondering why there were so many people in the store in the middle of the day until I realized it was saturday.

Oh, and we just had our first terrorist attack yesterday. Fun times.

Been mostly trying to get out of vacation mode and not drink during the weekend. Also of course been watching this terrorist thing unfold here.

That is the most un-Finnish thing I've ever heard.

Was the last day of my vacation.
Did try to install a trailer hitch under our car with my dad, but we had to stop due to lack of a tool the get the exhaust out of the rubbers. Bummer...

Celebrated my daughters 11th Birthday today with family. Damn, time flies.

At the end of next Monday I'll probably feel like I'm ready for vacation again.

We watched "Silver Lining Playbook" at her mum's home. It won an Oscar, we thought, so it's probably good. It was okay, but then we remembered "Lost In Translation" won a statuette too, so the only Oscar we trust now is the Guatemalan TA.

Watching "Lost in Translation" with a dying cancer patient was probably the most cruel thing I've ever done in life. The regret consumes me.

Happy birthday to her! And I know the feeling, we have a 12-year-old niece, and we still can't wrap our heads around the fact she's already old enough to play the piano.

Which she doesn't, but she's already old enough to give it a go :p

Thanks, well, I think she would have a good teacher :)

It's hatch chile season, so I've been roasting as many peppers as possible. I bought a 25 pound box and I'm about halfway through. I also made some canned crushed tomatoes from my garden since I couldn't use them all fresh. Went to a Moon Taxi concert last night. Good weekend.

Spent the weekend exploring London (i.e. getting pissed) with my half brother, whom I've only met twice. His wife and six-month-old son are lovely.

So far, I like the city's vibe a lot. Still haven't been to the East, which is where everyone says I'll like the most. There's plenty of time for that, though.

There have been some developments, so I might stay here for quite a while :D
