as much as i like to blame jenny for tiring out the Packers every pre-season- it's an 8-year old laptop. laptops age like dogs. her system is almost as old as my dad's balls. |
If her desktop had balls they'd be dragging on the floor. |

Wow, loving this Zenbook!! It's lighter than my new speakers, which are impressive for just 100 bucks. |
Which Zenbook did you get? I've got the 13" UX305, which the MS Store had on sale a couple of years ago. I love the damn thing. It's got the Intel Core M CPU, which is the mobile "Broadwell" core, which is a bit older by now, but it does everything I ask of it. I transcode portable copies of my Blu-ray/DVD collection and copy them off to the Samsung FIT USB drives and take them to the cabin when I go. Even though the cabin is wired and has a solar panel/batteries, I would still have 10 hours of video time with the Zenbook, if I could stay awake that long. |

The 13.3" UX330. I couldn't say no for a little over a grand, all in. I mean geez, I could have bought a 5 year old computer and still been impressed with the upgrade, lol. Windows 10 was a minor adjustment, but all good now.
I'm very happy I bought it from Amazon - very minimal bloatware which I uninstalled right away.
But damn, can't get a 15" machine for under a grand anymore. BS. Back when I bought my Vaio it was only about 800 bucks.
And FYI, I went with the Zenbook cause of this thread. Also my husband built his computer with an Asus motherboard and parts, so I know it's legit! |

Sorry, I am ignorant and missed the link. I've been extremely pleased with my Zenbook. I'd easily plunk down the cash for another one. |

| I felt guilty at first. Haven't made such a significant purchase in a while. This thing even powers down way faster than my Vaio did. Lulz. |

Yeah, the Solid State Drive (SSD) makes all the difference in the world. I can't even use a laptop with a slow ass mechanical hard drive now. :(:whip: |

| Yeah, I was super stoked about the SSD! :D |
