Still in Leeds. Only about a mile away, actually, but that isn't making life much easier. The long term aim is to save money and have somewhere to park a car, but all I seem to be doing is spending more and more money on the move and on acquiring the car. |
The transition to a carful life is quite annoying for this reason.
I was lucky we already had a parking space, but the car cost us a lot more than we expected.

| Hydration break! Got the first acre of the yard done. It's 90F and no breeze today (whatever that translates to in C for all you damned Socialists)! :toothless I need to clean the gutters out later. It's been raining acorns for the last week or two, so I know the damned gutters are full. Wonder if the neighbor's son would finish the yard for me if I promised to stash a September 1988 Hustler magazine in his tree house....? :conf::o |

Oh man, nothing beats late 80s/early 90s porn, do it!!
I got out of the house alone for 2 hours today to get my hair done. Husband's first time solo parenting, and the baby slept the entire time. I only spent half my appointment worrying if they'd both make it lulz. |

Not passed yet, Stu. My test is on 3rd November. Just forking out money for lessons and tests, and setting aside more money for insurance etc. The only reason I'm learning is to get a promotion at work, but until I get that promotion it's just more outgoings with no more income. |
Ah, ok. Damn, still a bit to go then.
Do you have to pay your insurance in the UK up front or something? Mine just gets debited from my account every month. |

Are you going to see other JFL comedians? We did it a few years ago and saw some in hilarious acts (my fave of the bunch was Johnny Pemberton - he's in Son of Zorn - SO funny holy ). Amy Schumer was the headliner we picked that year.
I also saw Bill Burr last year, so good. |

i didn't know how to use my credits to see other acts, so no. terms of headliners bill burr to me is like robert hood. i didn't really like the other headliners either (mind you i've only seen their on netflix)
chapelle last year wasn't nearly as funny. his first part on netflix is basically what he said in toronto. bill burr had all new plus he referenced a lot of his older stuff without retelling the jokes. oh man he ended with stories of DUIs which killed me. i was in tears from the start |
