Well yeah both of those things too. But I meant the smell of everything coming (lololol) back to life! Grass growing! Leaves budding on the trees! Warm wind! Makes my wet.

Wait... trees are still getting their leaves in Canada? Do your winters go on for that long?

The weather has been uncharacteristically superb here practically since lockdown began. Feels like we're halfway through summer already.

it never used to be like this but it is now. it was like 5C a week ago and dropped into the negatives at night. there are only two seasons, the dying season and the growing season. pretty warm part of canada at that. the winter was really mild though.

yesterday i had 7 beers before 5pm ordered kfc puked out my fries and clogged my sink and had to clean it. then i ate my big crunch and downed my eighth beer.

Here in middle TN in ye olde Southeastern US, we have had this crazy long ass extended spring. By early May, we are usually 80s to 90s (F) for highs and high humidity. This year we still had nights in May in the upper 30s/low 40s and daytime highs in the 60s/70s. We get one of these every decade or so. I'm fine with it, personally, as I hate the death heat/humidity combo.

Sigh. Not a single leaf in sight here. It smells like thawing dog outside though, so we're getting there.

It's very rare as a Brit that I get to feel any kind of superiority over other nations' weather, so allow me to savour this moment.
