IGK's favourite dish to prepare is tong zi dan egg https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virgin_boy_egg

The piss eggs are actually a bit of a myth in the sense that it's almost impossible to find because it is just some random remote village TCM

I've once thought of asking for an invite, but someone, unwittingly, convinced me not to.

That being said, this thread is now about the most disgusting thing taste wise you've ever eaten. While not the craziest, this dish is by far the one that made my body go into immediate repulsion (at the table too) mode. Quite the feat, considering I am not queasy at all, and have no gag reflex from years of throating large objects. Your brain tells you that you are eating bleach and unless you are Korean, there is no way anyone can swallow this stuff.

Double dare ya.

Well, the 'weirdest' things I've eaten are definitely some insect dishes I've had over the years.

The most disgusting thing I've ever had would definitely be some mysterious fermented I had in Denmark once. I think it was black/grey market eel? That was a challenge to keep down until I had left the table.

Eel done well is beyond delicious.

Believe it or not, my fav bug dish is fried maggots (small ones). They taste a bit like MacDonald's fries. If you closed your eyes and ate them while ignoring their shape, the texture could fool you along with the taste.

Fermented fish is rarely win. Just add another to the pile of endless reasons why being a Swede must be so embarrassing.

Yeah, I'm with you, good eel is amazing. Unfortunately it's endangered in Europe and they're only a few sustainable eel farms, which makes it expensive.

Haven't had fried maggots, but I'd give 'em a try under the right circumstances.

Fermented anything that isn't alcohol is risky, but fermented fish is just playing with fire.

Stumbling blindly inebriated down a Pattaya back-alley with a growling stomach and itchy penis is always the right time for anything.

Kimchi is pretty awesome. Fermented bean paste too.

fermented anything is usually win. the fish you had, was it the greenland shark? i know its toxic to eat unless fermented and it smells like .

so much fish have now become unsustainable... i use ocean wise to see who supports sustainable seafood. i predicted insects would become more popular a few years back amongst the average folk, i was wrong.

the one thing that i didn't like about crickets was the legs always got caught in between one of my teeth but the tacos were pretty dope

If it makes you feel better cockroach milk is popular among the Hulk Smash bodybuilding types.
