Wow, how did they manage to set that up in 15 minutes of halftime? Armin is a superstar, that's all I gotta say.

Armin "The Entertainer" van Buuren wants some of what Tijs has been having in the States?

That's looks one hell of an enthusiastic audience.

Armins performance was alright, i thought the crowds responce was decent considering his hits aren't that well known to the average person who goes to a basketball game.

it was definitely less awkward than ja rules performance at a different game (who i thought did a great job as well, but there was more hiccups with players practicing on the court during his act, and the miscommunication with the dj in the beginning)

What armin has done for Trance, I think you have to give him some credit , despite what this looks like, he brought Trance to places nobody else could have ...

This is a win for every trance artist,

Shame he didn't play any trance. He did play hardstyle tho', so this is a win for every hardstyle artist?

Exactly. I’d rather him stay “underground” instead of playing…whatever that noise was…”

To be fair , I wasn't happy with this tracklist either, thought he missed an opportunity to highlight what trance is really about instead of the crossovers he's ventured off to

Problem is he plays what he expects other people will like instead of defying the rules

Definitely cringe, but had I been in the audience, I would have been entertained nevertheless. But anyway, I cant really explain why but the vibes I get from this kind of showcase is that Armin's career as a festival headlining DJ has taken / is about to take a sharp downturn. The whole thing just seems kind of desperate to me.

I highly doubt but a tiny fraction of folks in a Chicago sports arena is going to like an extremely euro-centric genre of music like Hardstyle.

/should have just played Sandstorm
