the exact reasons you have stated above are the reasons she found someone else. From what you've said in the rest of the thread I've come to the conclusion you like her a lot more than she likes you, and I don't know whether you've been in a relationship like that, but someone feeling that way about you, and you not feeling the same is the worst thing in the world, especially if you value there friendship..but anyway...

I was sort of in the same situation with my girlfriend. See, we started going out last year on New Years and by March it was over ( no real reason as to why it ended, it just did...note that we'd never gotten into a fight or anything like that). She gave me the same reason that you just listed. I continued to stay friends with her and over the summer she dated a few guys...by the time August rolled around I asked her if she wanted to go on a date with me and she said yeah so we went. Towards the end of the date I asked her if she tought that we'd ever have a chance of being together again, and she said possibably but she's not going to get into anything serious until probably half way into the school year.
So from that day we were "dating" each other and then school started. She had her eye set on this one dude and surely enough a few months later she messages me on AIM and goes "I won't be walking with you tomorrow in school" so I'm like "um, ok...why?" and she preceeds to tell me that she has a boyfriend now and like that. This really pissed me off but we remained friends still. Just about a month ago I realized she was being mistreated by this and their relationship soon turned sour. This is where I stepped in and worked my magic...I conforted her through the breakup and all that.
Soon we started chilling with each other again and stuff like that and about 3 weeks ago I asked her out again. Now I can say that after nearly a year (seemed like an eternity) we're together again and happier than ever.
Damn, now that I read this it seems like some kind of romantic movie :crazy:
Moral of story: Sometimes you just need to give it time, I honestly was not sure if it was going to work the way it did or if I was wasting my time waiting for her. In your situation you can remain friends with her and things could work out much like the way my situation did. Or you can get pissed at her and say it (I know I almost took this route many times while this was all going on). |
