FAVORITE STYLE OF TRANCE? personally i find airwaves style to be the most uplifting and incredible... I love melodies and especially very complex and symphonic ones... What kind of style floats your boat right now, and who specifically makes that kind of trance that you like... I feel like a lot of good trance is coming out now.. recently i was blown away by airwaves new album "Believe", which contains that nu tune "When things go wrong" which has one of the most beautiful melodies ive ever heard... So what are you into these days...?

I ike to have those crisp highs and a more driving sound. More percussiony.

I like the really atmospheric melodic trance with awesome hi-hats and flicks that give you that spacy feel ya know... i agree about the percussion.. i think what lacks in many trance songs lately is good percussion

Same here - I'm not too picky on the overall style but the percussions have to be good...

These days it's all styles really, but my favourite has always been the old 1997 style UK Epic Trance and the older progressive trance. These styles have so much emotion and "feel" in them for me.

Tunes that define my favourite styles:
The Space Brothers - Shine
Ascension - Someone (Original Vocal Mix)
Sunday Club - Healing Dream
Qattara - Come With Me
Transa - Prophase (X Cabs Remix One)
Loveclub - The Journey (Trouser Enthusiasts Remix)
Lost Tribe - Gamemaster/My Soul
Jayn Hanna - Lost Without You (Evolution's Main Mix)
Disco Citizens - Footprint (Sonic Original)
Dominion - Fortunes (Vox)
Heliotropic - Walk With Me
Mombassa - Cry Freedom (Andy Ling's Aryan Vocal Mix)

it's hard to narrow it down since i have a wide range of taste in music. i've been told that my style is very different though from most people who are into "trance". i like a nice steady beat w/ a pretty strong bassline and sexy vocals....i am into progressive, but only if it has a cool melody w/ some sort of vocals and a break down and build up. some good examples of songs that are my style

Iio- "At the End" Scumfrog Remix
Oakey "Ready Steady Go" PMT Remix
James Holden "Horizons" Way Out West Remix
Ultraviolet "Heaven" Way Out West Remix

basically anything remixed by WOW or PMT or anything Starecase

i also love breaks and jungle...not a big fan of the real uplifting stuff w/ no bassline, unless it's ambient. i do like some uplifting though depending on my mood.

and don't flame me but i also listen to britney spears (her newer stuff) and JLo and some hip hop and alternative bands too.

well i'm a girl so maybe that'll clear some things up! hahaha i just was impressed with "I'm A Slave" w/ the Neptunes and "Boys"...thought those 2 songs from her had a real sexy beat and she is just amazing as an "entertainer"...not so much a singer.

Two words sums me up... Epic, uplifting :D
djcresto
