ok, now it's time for me to post my review and a rather complete tracklisting. :D
to start it off: HUGE THANKS TO TATGIRL (NATHALIE)!!! hands down, nathalie is one (if not the best) person around, if you haven't gotten to meet her yet, you need to, and if you have, you are blessed. nathalie picked me up from the airport, toted my butt around dc, let me stay with her, and took care of sick me on saturday. got to attend an amazing family dinner with her on saturday night before heading over to glow, where the people there were also soo nice and gave me mylanta and prilosec to calm my churning tummy.
got to glow around 11:15 or so, met up with some TAs in line. nice to meet all of you! sold my extra ticket to trancerx, thanks!
it wasn't too packed when we first got in there, but by the time that paul came on, it was a bit too much for me. edgar v played a banging set, a few notable tracks, very similar to the set he played the night before at space.
nice seeing such a great TA turnout for paul. soo many of us, even a few that i never thought i'd see there (billu);). great seeing everyone again!
i wanted to be front and center for when paul came on, but the crowd got too overwhelming. i was getting shoved from every direction, stepped on, it was horrid. i don't mind if people need to walk by or whatever, but as long as they are RESPECTFUL about it. also, when the dance floor is as packed as it was, you can't be grooving and shmoozing with your girl/guy. also, i DON'T want to watch a couple making out in front of me. it's sick, especially when all i want to see is paul. take it off the dance floor please. ok, i have vented. thanks for listening, i feel better. ;)
so, i managed (barely) to make it off the dance floor and found a tad of room in the back of the bar on the far side of the club. unfortunately, the first few tracks he played i couldn't enjoy because i was fighting my way off the dance floor. but once he played blackeight-silence, that was it. my new motto was: if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. so i headed out to the dance floor and just enjoyed myself and tried to the best of my ability to pretend that all others did not exist, except for paul.;)
i have seen paul 13 times now, 10 times in 2002 alone. the set he dropped at glow was THE BEST SET i have ever heard him spin. he was relentless, track after track, banging tunes, i couldn't have asked for more, well it would have been nice to hear no more rain, mistral, and animacion, but i AM NOT complaining. on the way out, after he signed the cover of my magazine:D:D:D, i will post it later, i told nathalie that if everything were to end right now, it would be okay, because i was the happiest girl on earth.
WHAT A PARTY, WHAT A SET!!!
THANK YOU PAUL!!! |

WOW!!! BEST SET EVER!!! I didn't think that much could top the Cream @ Amnesia set from 8/15/02 but this easily beat it. And the bpm's were sooo high, incredible!!!
The crowd was chanting PAUL VAN DYK! a few times throughout the evening and we were loud enough to get 2 encores from him. ing Society, what a way to end a perfect night.

sorry i didn't mention this before, but it was really cool hanging with both yujie and srezic. i hope i didn't scare either of you too much. ;) i was iding tracks like mad...and got a bit excited throughout the set. :D:D:D
now maybe more TAs understand my madness and why i do what i do and what lengths i go to just to see PAUL VAN DYK :D |

...And what an amazing night it was!!! Yeah it was packed, but it wasn't nearly AS crowded upstairs on the balcony (after I finagled a way to get a VIP stamp, LOL.)
THANKS RUBY for saving me from that never-ending line!
Edgar was his relentlessly bangin' self, while Paul owned Glow !!!
okay, back to work. |

| Awsome show. By far one of the best I have seen. And anyone who thought that was crowded wasn't at the Roxy in NYC when PVD came there. |

i was at the roxy, and there was A LOT more room there! the line for the girls bathroom was a bit of a mess though.
there really wasn't any room any where at glow. not in the back of the main dance floor, not even by the bars, and the back hallway was packed too. i couldn't move and could hardly get myself off the dance floor to find some kind of refuge...luckily it got better as the night went on.
good things about glow that night:
-nice high ceilings, although it was packed, had more of an open airy feel, just imagine what it would have been like if the ceilings were lower!
-great ventilation (in some areas, too much). kept it relatively cool for the amount of people, and most importantly, CLEANER AIR, didn't get smokey. Space in Miami is the worst!
-can't believe i'm saying this, but the sound system
-security are much nicer than in most clubs |

Finnaly back in jville, at work tho :[
Impressive id'ing by ruby! Very impressive couldnt do better myself. I liked how he started off with some high nrg bangin trance then slowed it up a lil and then kept bangin. At like 3a.m i was just about dead. Im an old man cant dance for 4 hours str8 anymore!
Ive seen alot of djs in alot of clubs and it was prolly the most packed ive ever seen a club. It kinda ruined my spirits a lil but i was just listenin and examining his mixes..
The first hour of mixes were back to back (2-3 mins max). I think i counted like 5-6 beats that were off for the entire set!!! And if i barely noticed them then i know barely anyone else did!! I know cuz of this set ill be buying a few new records with money i dont have. I had a great time up in VA/DC with Frost/dan. Hes my buddy from HS so it was tight coming up there to see him and the fam.
As far as edgar's set goes, kinda dissapointing. Was gonna see if he'd hit me up with some FC-Pocket damage and he told me he was playin house set. I was like NO!! I know hes a good dj but his set was full of basic mixes and nothing really special. But with that genre u cant really do cool transistion mixes and other fun tricks :]
Best song he played was the song that goes "Hes watchin over us" "Hell always be there, there, there.." Got another mix of it on vinyl that is more progressive but its always nice to hear new mixes of tracks u like. |

thanks! i try...it helps when i eat, sleep, and breathe Paul van Dyk sets.;)
i absolutely loved the progression/flow of his set as well. i can't imagine it getting much better than that!
too bad we didn't meet that night, maybe at another pvd gig!
don't have too much fun at work. i'm at work too and can't get much done because in my mind i'm still at glow with paul :tongue2 |

| Lost Atlantis |
| No I was there with nine other people from Atlanta. And for the majority of the night we were off on Paul's righthand side in front of the stage. Gradually moved back towards the cage as the crowd got wild. I had a black and white Split shirt on. |

Well I must say that I can see why all of you never say anything bad about Pvd's music. He put on an amazing set... It was probably the best set that I have ever heard at glow. He got me very pumped up and it was an absolutely great time. It was too damn crowded though. But the crowd was a much different crowd than usual... I think that there were tons more people there that actually were there for the trance than there usually are. Usually 80% of the people that are there are just there cause they wanted to go to a club not because they like trance. I thought that was pretty neat to see.
However... ever since i have gone to glow i have made it a point to get every dj's autograph... I made a special shirt for Pvd.... It said Tranceaddicts unite in a circle around Paul van Dyk.... I asked him to sign it right after he stopped playing and he just shook his head no... I think thats pretty stupid... at that moment he became paul van dick.... |
